Last week, the Jeep® brand showed off its all-new fifth-generation 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee (WL75) three-row offering to the public. The new three-row variant will actually debut as a 2021 model, with the two-row Grand Cherokee (WL74) coming later this fall and dubbed as a 2022 model. This allows Jeep and it’s Jefferson North Assembly Plant (JNAP) to continue production of the current two-row 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee (WK2) until this summer.
As if that isn’t confusing enough, our dealer sources have told us that Jeep will be slowly ramping down production of the current WK2 models as the model year goes on. But now, we are hearing that January will be the last month of availability to order a brand-new WK2 Overland or Summit model. Both models are towards the premium end of the Grand Cherokee spectrum and signals that Jeep will continue to produce the more volume-based and performance-variants of the WK2 lineup.
While the fourth-generation WK2 Overland and Summit models are coming to an end, Jeep showed off their replacements with its WL75 models. The current Summit model offers Natura-Plus leather seats and Suede-Like premium headliner, and exotic open-pore wood trim. The optional Signature Fully-Wrapped Leather interior package includes Laguna leather seats, leather-wrapped instrument panel, doors, center console, glove box, and armrest.
So if you are looking to taking advantage of the current discounts on the WK2, or just are a fan of the current body style here is your last chance to take advantage of ordering a Grand Cherokee WK2 Overland or Summit. For more information on availability or order details, you can contact your local Jeep dealer.
