During a presentation attended by 2,500 dealers, the major news was the unveiling of an upcoming Ram midsize pickup truck. Although not a production version, the vehicle shown was tailored for the North American market and drew inspiration from the Ram 1500 Revolution BEV Concept. Dealers who were present at the event reported that the new midsize pickup is electric and has a distinct Ram-like appearance, with a sporty design that is more geared towards customers who enjoy pickups but don’t necessarily utilize them as a work truck.

During its EV Day 2021 presentation, Stellantis provided a sneak peek of an electric pickup truck that was said to be based on the STLA Large architecture. This platform will also serve as the foundation for other forthcoming vehicles such as the Jeep® Recon BEV and the Dodge Charger Daytona BEV.

Reportedly called the “Stealth,” the new model is said to feature a three-row layout similar to the Durango but with a dramatically different appearance. The “Stealth” is expected to have a sportier and more streamlined exterior design compared to the boxy exterior of the Durango that people have grown accustomed to. It remains to be seen if the Durango name will indeed be retired in favor of this new model.
