TSR Unveils Bold Patriotic Mopar Paint Schemes for 2025 Season

Tony Stewart Racing Celebrates 25 Years with Bold New Look...

Tony Stewart Racing (TSR) has officially revealed its striking new Mopar // Direct Connection // Dodge paint schemes for the 2025 NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series. Inspired by last year’s retro-themed Direct Connection 50th Anniversary livery, the 2025 designs showcase a bold, patriotic combination of Metallic Red, Metallic Blue, and White lettering. These eye-catching schemes are set to make a statement as the team heads into a milestone season, marking TSR’s 25th anniversary.

New Look, Same Championship Drive –

After teasing the new liveries on social media, TSR finally pulled the covers off its 2025 Top Fuel Dragster and Funny Car, driven by Tony Stewart and Matt Hagan, respectively. The fresh look builds on last season’s overwhelmingly popular retro-themed 50th anniversary of the Direct Connection scheme, swapping the retro look for a more modern take. While these schemes won’t run the entire season due to rotating associate sponsorships, they will surely be fan favorites throughout the year.

TSR’s 25-Year Legacy –

Founded by Tony Stewart in 2000, TSR has become one of the most dominant teams in motorsports. Over its 25-year history, the team has earned an impressive 27 owner championships across multiple racing disciplines, including USAC, the World of Outlaws (WoO) Sprint Car Series, and the All-Star Circuit of Champions. While TSR has only been in NHRA competition for four seasons, the team’s deep roots with Mopar date back to the early 2000s, when the brand heavily sponsored TSR in dirt track racing.

The Teams Going Into 2025 –

Tony Stewart – Top Fuel:

NHRA Rookie of the Year, Tony Stewart enters his second full-time NHRA Top Fuel season after finishing ninth in points in 2024, just 275 points behind champion Antron Brown. Stewart’s rookie season saw him make the semifinals in the season finale at Pomona, and he clinched his first divisional championship in the NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series Top Alcohol Dragster class. With his competitive drive and proven adaptability, expectations are high for Stewart to break into championship contention in 2025.

Matt Hagan – Funny Car:

Four-time Funny Car champion Matt Hagan returns to TSR for another run at his fifth title. Hagan finished fourth in points last season after facing unexpected challenges during the Countdown to the Championship. The biggest change for his team in 2025 is the departure of long-time crew chief Dickie Venables, who moved to Kalitta Motorsports. TSR has promoted veteran co-crew chief Mike Knudsen to full crew chief, while Phil Shuler joins as co-crew chief. With Knudsen’s decade-long history with Hagan and Shuler’s extensive experience in NHRA, TSR aims to reclaim the Funny Car championship.

Hagan continues to run his former Dodge Charger SRT HELLCAT Widebody Funny Car body, but rumors suggest a new Dodge Charger SIXPACK design is coming.

Leah Pruett – Supporting Role:

Leah Pruett, Stewart’s wife, will sit out the 2025 season following the birth of their first child, Dominic James Stewart, just before the 2024 Pomona finale. While she won’t be behind the wheel, Pruett plans to attend more races in 2025 to support TSR’s efforts.

The 2025 NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series Schedule –

The 2025 NHRA season kicks off with the Gatornationals in Gainesville, Florida, on March 6-9, setting the stage for an action-packed year. TSR will compete in all major national events, including the Four-Wide Nationals in Las Vegas and Charlotte, the legendary U.S. Nationals in Indianapolis, and the six-race Countdown to the Championship, which begins in September.

Looking Ahead to 2025 –

With a fresh, attention-grabbing look and a dedicated push toward championship gold, TSR is primed for a major impact in the 2025 NHRA season. Stewart’s growing confidence in Top Fuel, Hagan’s championship aspirations, and TSR’s continued partnership with Mopar and Direct Connection set the stage for an exciting year ahead.
