The Cybercat: A Tesla-Powered Dodge Challenger

BoostedBoiz’s Latest Creation Blends Electric Speed with Muscle Car Style...

The Cybercat—also known as the E-Kitty—is the latest boundary-pushing project from the inventive minds at BoostedBoiz. This custom creation merges the futuristic performance of a Tesla Model S Plaid with the aggressive aesthetics of a 2023 Dodge Challenger SRT HELLCAT. It’s an experimental blend of electric vehicle (EV) innovation and classic American muscle.

A Tale of Two Icons –

The Cybercat seamlessly blends the unibody of a Dodge Challenger with the high-performance drivetrain of the Tesla Model S Plaid. Remarkably, these two cars share nearly identical wheelbases—116.2 inches for the HELLCAT and 116.5 inches for the Model S Plaid—making the swap surprisingly well-suited from an engineering perspective. This alignment eliminates many of the typical challenges in body swaps, allowing the Tesla’s advanced tri-motor system to fit snugly within the Challenger’s structure.

The Cybercat retains key elements from both vehicles. It’s powered by the Tesla Model S Plaid’s 1,020-horsepower tri-motor setup, but also keeps the HELLCAT’s unmistakable silhouette. The build includes Tesla-specific touches such as its steering yoke, stock Model S Plaid wheels, and fully functional heated and air-conditioned seats. The result is an EV muscle car that looks as fierce as it performs.

Lightweight and Powerful –

Currently incomplete, the Cybercat weighs 4,330 pounds without its finished interior. That makes it lighter than the Tesla Model S Plaid (4,813 pounds), meaning its performance potential is substantial. While the exact range for the Cybercat remains unknown, it’s already proven itself highway-ready, with rolling and standing launches successfully tested.

The Tesla Model S Plaid is renowned for its 1,020-horsepower tri-motor setup and its blistering ability to hit 0 to 60 mph in 1.99 seconds, with a quarter-mile time of 9.23 seconds. While the Cybercat hasn’t been officially timed yet, fans speculate that it could rival or even surpass those figures, especially considering its lighter weight.

Tire-Shredding Fun –

To put its performance to the test, the Cybercat made its debut with none other than Cleetus McFarland, who gave the machine a spin. The vehicle handled tire-shredding maneuvers effortlessly, with its body remaining stable throughout, hinting at the impressive engineering behind the build.

The Cybercat isn’t the first wild experiment from the BoostedBoiz garage. They’re also known for transforming a Honda Odyssey into the “Plaidessey,” an electric-powered minivan capable of running a sub-10-second quarter mile. With such a track record, expectations are high for the Cybercat’s eventual performance on the strip.
