2019 Ram 1500 Tradesman Sports Quietly Showing Up In Dealer Inventories:

Affordable Sporty Ram Is Now Showing Up On Lots...

A couple of weeks ago we asked the question, “Where is the Tradesman Sport“? Our sister site 5thGenRams.com have been showing you pictures of a prototype of the truck, that Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) had been testing since March of this year around the Metro Detroit area. We had our friends at Real Fast Fotography, catch photos of the truck several times and even video of the truck testing on country back roads.

A couple of days later, we broke the news that the 2019 Ram 1500 Tradesman Black was showing up in dealerships. While this vehicle is still not available to customize in the RamTrucks.com Build & Price configurator, the Tradesman Black is popping up in dealer inventories across the country like wildfire. Yet, Ram and FCA have yet to officially release any information on the Tradesman Black package.

Now we starting to see a very few number of Tradesman Sport models, quietly trickle into dealerships. Since Ram has yet to release any information on these truck, we do have the monroney (window stickers) to give us more details about this new package in options and pricing.

The 2019 Ram 1500 Tradesman Sport package includes…

  • 18-inch X 8.5-inch aluminum wheels
  • Black Interior Accents
  • Cloth 40/20/40 Bench Seat
  • Front Fog Lamps
  • Front and Rear Floor Mats
  • Carpet Flooring
  • Tradesman Body Color Grille and Bumpers
  • Three Rear Seat Head Restraints

The total of this package is $895 U.S. MSRP.

On the prototype we’ve seen, it had the 20-inch aluminum wheels with black pockets. These happened to be the WRF wheels that became standard on the Canada-Only 2019 Ram 1500 Sport at the end of the September. Apparently, these wheels are a $1,295 U.S. MSRP option on the package.

We don’t know why Ram has yet to release the official word on these new packages for the Tradesman lineup. But we are thinking that it is to protect the sales of the current production of the 4th generation Ram 1500 Classic models.

The Tradesman Sport and Tradesman Black packages will ultimately be replacing the Ram 1500 Classic Express packages. It offers unique sporty looks on the new 2019 Ram 1500, while offering a budget friendly price.
