Wrecked Dodge Charger Daytona Is Begging To Be HEMI® Swapped
Ultra Low-Mile Electric Charger, Shows Up On Auto Auction Website

It was only a matter of time before one of the all-new Dodge Charger Daytona models wound up on a salvage auction website. This time, a blacked-out 2024 Dodge Charger Daytona R/T Stage 1 has appeared on the Insurance Auto Auctions (IAA) website with only 682 miles on the odometer.

We have no doubt that someone will snatch up this car, considering how many people have been eager to see one of these new STLA Large multi-energy platform muscle cars receive a HEMI® swap. It wouldn’t be surprising if a collision shop or a YouTuber takes on the challenge.

Being a First Edition car, this model was pre-configured. However, what really stands out is its Demonic Red seats—an option only available on this configuration during the 2024 model year. According to the official window sticker, which we pulled up, the car is equipped with the Plus Group, Sun & Sound Package, Blacktop Package, along with Demonic Red seats.

At first glance, the damage appears to be mostly cosmetic, limited to easily replaceable components like the bumper, grille, and hood. Despite the deployment of the front driver-side airbag, the overall impact seems minor based on the visible damage. A closer inspection under the hood reveals that all plastic covers remain intact, and the frunk shows no signs of structural compromise. If the front-end framework checks out, this could be a prime candidate for a restoration project, ready to be revived with fresh parts and careful work.

In its current form, the Daytona R/T Stage 1 features a 400-volt electrical architecture and is powered by dual G2500 electric drive modules (EDMs), producing a combined output of 496 horsepower—enhanced by a 40-horsepower boost from the Direct Connection Stage 1 upgrade—and 404 lb.-ft. of torque. The car also comes standard with all-wheel drive (AWD). All Dodge Charger Daytonas currently house a 100.5 kWh lithium-ion battery pack, with 93.9 kWh of usable capacity.

The car is located at the IAA lot in Austin, Texas, and still has the dealer promotional plates on it. Regardless, there are sure to be plenty of people watching closely to see what happens when this car crosses the auction block.
