Wrangler 4xe Named PHEV With Best Residual Value by Canadian Black Book

Wrangler 4xe is Canada’s Best-Selling PHEV Electric Vehicle...

The Jeep Wrangler Unlimited 4xe (JL) has taken home Canadian Black Book’s (CBB’s) 2023 Residual Value Award in the plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) category. This marks the second year of CBB’s Best Residual Value Awards and the first where it has ranked PHEVs. The awards recognize vehicles that are expected to retain the largest percentage of their MSRP 48 months after purchase, making them valuable information for consumers as depreciation is the biggest expense of vehicle ownership.

The Jeep Wrangler Unlimited 4xe has been a standout in the Canadian market, being the country’s best-selling PHEV and number one in the U.S. as well. It features a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline four-cylinder engine integrated with two electric motors and a 400-volt battery pack, providing up to 35 kilometers of all-electric range, average fuel economy of up to 4.8 Le/100 km (49 MPGe), instant torque, and nearly silent off-roading.

The Best Residual Value Awards complement CBB’s long-running Best Retained Value Awards, where the Jeep Wrangler also has a long streak of success. Yolanda Biswah, Senior Vice President and GM at Canadian Black Book congratulated Stellantis on the Wrangler’s continued success, saying: “Stellantis’ Jeep Wrangler has been receiving awards from CBB almost every year for over a decade. This year is no different, and we are excited to reveal the latest win for the Wrangler 4xe in our ‘PHEV Main’ category.”

Overall, the Jeep Wrangler 4xe’s recognition as Canada’s top PHEV in residual value serves as another testament to the vehicle’s outstanding performance, capability, and sustainability.
