Jeep® Compass Hits 350,000 Units Sold In Brazilian Marketplace!

Milestone Comes As The Jeep® Automotive Pole Turns Seven Years Old...

Considered the most modern assembly complex in Latin America (LATAM), the Goiana Assembly Plant (also known as the Jeep® Automotive Pole) in Pernambuco, Brazil, was inaugurated on April 28th, 2015. Seven years later, the facility continues to be at the forefront of innovation and sustainability.

The plant has changed the socioeconomic reality of the region and has transformed the Brazilian automotive market with the launch of four leaders in their respective segments (Jeep Renegade, Jeep Compass, Jeep Commander, and Fiat Toro). Since its opening, more than 1.2 million vehicles have been produced at the facility, and now the plant is celebrating another milestone by manufacturing its 350,000th Jeep Compass.

Currently, more than 13,000 people work at the facility, and Suppliers Park located around the perimeter of the plant (which consists of 16 different companies).

Stellantis is in the midst of an inventment cycle of R$7.5 billion ($1.52 billion USD) in the Pernambuco plant (out of a total of R$16 billion or $3.24 billion USD for Brazil) until 2025. Focused mainly on developing new products, attracting new suppliers, and development of production systems. From the beginning of the operation until today, Stellantis has already promoted the installation of 34 suppliers in Pernambuco.

Launched in 2016 to reinvent the C-SUV segment, the Jeep Compass reached the milestone of 350,000 units produced in the country. In addition to being sold on the national market, it is also exported to 12 other Latin American countries, such as Argentina, Uruguay, and Chile from Pernambuco.

The model is one of the most desired in the country, being a leader in the segment practically since its launch. Last year, it received updates to continue being the number one in its category and, alongside the Jeep Commander, it is one of the most technological national vehicles produced in Brazil.
