Another Video Shows A Closer Look At The New e-Muscle Car...

The internet has been buzzing over the past couple of days following the announcement that the all-new 2025 Dodge Charger Daytona will make its official debut on March 5th. While we know a lot about the new “e-muscle” car, Dodge has been doing a good job of keeping the car under wraps from the public. They were the ones who originally released teaser images of the new two-door model last month after a solid year and a half of keeping the public in the dark.

However, this week, a new video surfaced on social media showing what appears to be the same Charger Daytona that we saw on public roads in front of Stellantis North America Headquarters in Auburn Hills, Michigan, judging by the license plate on the car.

This time, we get to see some new angles of the new 2025 Dodge Charger Daytona. The new angles reveal more detail of the Charger, particularly the front of the vehicle, which looks impressive.

While we originally speculated that this particular car was probably the base model Charger Daytona 340, we now believe that this is the other 400-volt architecture offering, the Daytona 440. After reviewing some video that Dodge showed at the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) show in 2022, the rims on this car were shown on one of the higher-performance Direct Connection eStage renderings. Since then, Dodge has taken the video down, however, MoparInsiders.com did save images of the video, and you can see those wheels in the clip below.

The Charger Daytona 440 will have a standard output of 440 kilowatts (kW) or 590 horsepower. When equipped with the optional Direct Connection eStage upgrades from Mopar, the Charger Daytona 440 can be upfitted to have 470 kW (630 horsepower) or 500 kW (670 horsepower). Each Charger Daytona model will come standard with all-wheel drive (AWD).

One particular thing we noticed in the video is that the car is missing side skirts on the passenger side, giving us a look at what appears to be the car’s battery pack. The image does give us an idea of how much ground clearance the car will have, something important going over speed bumps or angled driveways.

The new photos also provide a better look at the new optional glass roof, an option that MoparInsiders.com originally broke the news about, confirming it would be coming to the production model.

While we can’t wait to see more details on this new two-door, we are hoping Dodge will also give us a sneak peek at the four-door variant as well.

I doubt they'd be "rim specific" in a mule. Car could be anything from the base to the banshee

Trying hard to use the ice history to sell the ev junk. Thank God ford didn't drink as much of the coolaid there's still a muscle car worth calling muscle car

So it seems we get no Challenger, we get only a Charger coupe and a four door version and that’s not too bad as long as we get a two door. We get a powerful AWD electric Banshee and that is fine for the few who want an electric so big sales should not be expected. Best part is the Hurricane six versions that hopefully do a better job on the nose of the Charger where the front wing is innovative and distinctive but not for the traditional ICE buyer. Expect decent sales from these two door Chargers. What will possibly save Dodge is the four door version that will appeal to the larger population. Based on this elegant design it should be a stunning sedan and sell well. I doubt the Charger will match the combined sales of the outgoing Charger and Challenger, but let’s hope I’m dead wrong. I want to be wrong.
There is room in the line up for something, could it be a convertible Charger or a small sporty car, who knows, but Dodge certainly could use more product.
I’m mellowing on my reaction to the new Charger by applying some common sense and sound business thinking but my heart still longs for a nasty Viper reincarnation and so I remain delusional to stymie my pragmatic reality check. So here we go again guys, we clamor for more from Dodge. Damn the common sense we Dodge boys are a tough audience who throw caution and common sense to the wind.
