CAUGHT: 2021 Ram 1500 TRX In Hydro Blue Hits The Streets:

New TRX, Shows Off Its Aggressive Stance In Real World Situation...

We have been talking about the new 2021 Ram 1500 TRX all week. While we continue to dig deeper into Ram’s new performance off-roader and the things it brings to the truck segment’s table throughout the week, we are getting to see the TRX for the first time on public roads in the latest round of photos from our spy photographers.

Caught on the public roads of Metro Detroit this past week, the new TRX shows off its macho new looks for the first time in this eye-popping Hydro Blue exterior color. The 2021 Ram 1500 TRX is 8-inches wider than a standard 2021 Ram 1500 Rebel. It’s composite flares help compensate for a 6-inch increase in track width, which you can easily see in these photos.

The stance of the TRX looks aggressive thanks to the 35-inch Goodyear Wrangler Territory All-Terrain 325/65R/18 tires wrapped around the optional Mopar 18-inch Beadlock wheels. You can clearly see the new LED clearance marker lights that flank the front bumper and the bi-functional projector LED headlamps inside their darkened housings. Clearance lights can also be seen cleverly placed inside the massive hood scoop of the TRX.

Upfront, the TRX proudly wears its new larger “flow-through” R-A-M badge across the wide grille. The new R-A-M badge helps assist with moving 50% of the air through the truck to help cool the massive 6.2-liter Supercharged HEMI V8, while the massive hood scoop feeds the big HEMI the other 50%. Functional air curtain just outboard of the headlamps, relieving high-pressure zones at the front corners and allowing air to pass through the fenders. This can be really seen from the rear of the truck.

RAM boasts that the TRX features a ground clearance of 11.8-inches, thanks to 2-inch ride height and it shows. The Beadlock wheels do a great job of hiding the massive 15-inch inverted outboard venting rotors. This particular truck ditches running boards for the optional full-length rock rail for added body/sill protection, while a Mopar tri-fold tonneau cover gives the rear of the truck a clean-looking appearance.
