Stellantis (FCA Canada) Releases Its Sales Figures For Q1 2023

With its first quarter of 2023 now in the books, Stellantis (FCA Canada) remains the No. 1 seller of plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs) in the country, with three models among the top 10 best-selling PHEVs. Sales of 40,073 units for the period are highlighted by increases for Wagoneer, Ram 1500, and Dodge Durango. That overall figure represents a 6% decrease versus the first three months of 2022. 
 
“As we execute the company’s Dare Forward 2030 strategic plan, we’re encouraged by our continued leadership in PHEV sales,” said Jason Stoicevich, President – Canada, Stellantis. “At the same time, despite the industry’s ongoing global challenges, vehicles like the class-leading Ram 1500, Wagoneer, and Dodge Durango showed double-digit increases for the quarter and continue to resonate in hard-fought segments.” 

Jeep® –

The Jeep Wrangler 4xe, with an all-electric range of 35 kilometers (21 miles), accounted for nearly 20% of the total 5,010 Wrangler models sold in Q1 2023.

Chrysler – 

The Chrysler brand reported an decrease in sale for the Q1 period. Sales were led by the Pacifica, followed by the Grand Caravan, and finally the 300 Series. Surprisingly, the 300 Series showed a growth of 19% with 301 units sold. 

Ram –

Today’s tough, capable and class-leading, Ram pickup truck products continue to resonate with Canadian buyers, with 20,125 sold, an increase of 10% for the quarter. 

Dodge – 

Dodge brand saw sales rise 4% for the quarter, thanks in large part to the muscle car of SUVs, the Dodge Durango, with 2,260 examples sold, an increase of 43%.

Alfa Romeo – 

The Alfa Romeo brand sold under 170 units for the Q1 period. Leading the way for the Italian brand was the Stelvio D-UV with 123 units.

FIAT – 

There isn’t much to say about the FIAT brand for the Canadian market. The Italian marque sold 5 vehicles for Q1, a 44% decrease over the same time last year when it sold 9.
