Charger SXT Drivers Pulled Over For Going 126 MPH, Then Arrested Moments Later For 112 MPH!

Two Drivers, Two Charger SXTs...

A man and a woman from Chesterfield Twp, Michigan were pulled over last night on eastbound Interstate 94 (I-94) in the suburbs of Detroit for weaving in and out of traffic in two separate Dodge Chargers at 126 mph (202 km/h). Moments later, the same Michigan State Police (MSP) trooper who had just stopped them, caught them going 112 mph (180 km/h) on the same highway.

MSP troopers stated that they were patrolling I-94 overnight when they spotted two Dodge Charger sedans weaving in and out of traffic at 126 mph. Both drivers, a 34-year-old man, and a 30-year-old woman, both from Chesterfield Township, were cited for their speed and released, officials said.

After resuming patrol and several miles later, the same trooper was patrolling and noticed two sets of the unmistakable Charger taillights in the distance. Both cars were clocked on radar at 112 mph. The trooper caught up to the pair of cars and realized they were the same ones he had just stopped.

The trooper was able to stop one of those Chargers, but the other car continued on. Another trooper checked a gas station at the next exit and located the second car.

Both drivers were placed under arrest for reckless driving and their vehicles were impounded. Both cars appeared to be Pentastar V6-powered Dodge Chargers. The Bright Silver car appears to be a Charger SXT rear-wheel-drive (RWD), while the Black one is an SXT all-wheel-drive (AWD) model.
