Paint The Town Blue, Chief Is Back On Wrangler Models!

But It Is Only For A Limited Time...

If you are a diehard Jeep® fan, then it is more than likely you are familiar with the brand’s finity for buzz models and colors. No other model can be more defined by special edition models or colors than the iconic Wrangler nameplate. For the 2021 model year, the Jeep brand announced to its dealer body that it would re-introduce three of its iconic colors from the brand’s past for a limited time.

2021 Jeep® Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon in Chief. (Jeep).

The first color to return is “Chief”, the iconic blue color made its modern debut on the 2015 Jeep Chief Concept. The Wrangler (JK) based concept, blended the best of the Wrangler Unlimited at the time with iconic styling cues from the full-size Wagoneer (SJ) with a Hawaiian twist.

The color then made it into production on a limited edition model during the 2017 model year on the Wrangler “Chief”. The Wrangler Chief included a white hardtop and bold white graphics matching the concept vehicle. Besides the white highlighted graphics, the classic Jeep “4 Wheel Drive” graphic was also placed on the rear gate.

2021 Jeep® Wrangler Unlimited Islander in Chief. (Jeep).

The color returned briefly for the 2018 model year and spread to the rest of the existing lineup, before being discontinued.

2021 Jeep® Wrangler Willys in Chief. (Jeep).

Since opening-up orders in October, the Chief color (also known as PQB) has been available across the Wrangler (JL) lineup for the first time. Production began back in November and will continue to be in production until February 1st when it will be dropped once again. The limited edition color adds $245 to the price of the Wrangler for customers in the United States (No Charge for Canadian customers).
