VIDEO: “REBHELL” Is Back With A Cummins Turbo Diesel Punch

Gone Is The HELLCAT, Meet The First-Ever Ram DT With A Cummins...

Project “REBHELL” was a modification project that involved swapping a HELLCAT engine into a Ram (DT) pickup truck, making it the first of its kind. This was done by Charles (@that_guy_from_br), who took his at the time brand-new 2019 Ram 1500 Rebel Crew Cab 4×4 with just 600 miles and added a 707-horsepower supercharged engine to it, anticipating the release of the Ram 1500 TRX.

The truck also received other upgrades such as Fiberworx widebody fenders and bedsides, a mild suspension lift, 37-inch tires, and more, effectively creating a TRX before it was even released. I got a chance to drive the truck back then and thought it was wild, but with its most recent update, it is even crazier.

Project “REBHELL” has undergone a significant upgrade, moving from its original HELLCAT engine to a compound turbo 24-valve Cummins diesel engine. This modified truck now generates an incredible amount of torque, capable of spinning the tires in almost any gear. One of the most impressive aspects of this project is the installation of a G56 6-speed manual transmission from a fourth-generation Ram Heavy Duty, along with a custom shift plate and short throw shifter in the center console. Despite this major modification, the truck’s interior remains fully functional and looks almost factory-made.

The exterior of the truck remains largely the same as its previous version, with the exception of the removal of the Rebel Supercharged graphics. The truck still features Fiberworx widebody fenders and bedsides, 37-inch Nitto tires, Method wheels, and custom nostrils in the grille borrowed from a Dodge Charger. Although Charles has not had the opportunity to test the truck’s performance on a dyno yet, it is evident that this truck is even more impressive than before, offering an incredible driving experience.

The interior of the upgraded “REBHELL” truck boasts a reworked center console that has been rethought to accommodate the installation of the 6-speed manual transmission, which seamlessly integrates with the dashboard layout. Thanks to its short-throw design, the shifter never comes into contact with the expensive Uconnect screen, ensuring a seamless and reliable driving experience.

In conclusion, Project “REBHELL” 2.0 is a testament to Charles’ creativity and expertise. The modifications made to this truck have made it even more impressive, offering a unique driving experience that few other vehicles can match.
