it would be helpful, i think, if the person putting articles into the forum would start the discussion by making some interesting remarks following the article.

otherwise it is a rather snobby father-figure saying: (read full article...).

if the people running this website do not participate in the discussions by making stimulating remarks, you can not blame the rest of us that we are not active enough.

The articles auto post a forum post when they are made now and link to article comments. I made a post about this I guess you didn't read.

Anyway all you do is complain so as I mentioned before, feel free to go somewhere else if you're unhappy, nobody is blaming anyone for not being active lol.

I think the man has got a point.
I have noticed before that remarks were made that this forum is not active enough compared to some other forums you run.
It is all very well that articles are automatically posted into this forum, but you run the risk that there are going to be a lot of entries with 0 replies.
If the people running this forum stimulate the discussions that would indeed help with this forum turning into a place where all FCA supporters would return.
Wishing you the best.

I don't disagree and would like to be able to spend more time in the forums and have some good discussions, unfortunately with running multiple websites/forums and social media platforms it doesn't leave either myself or @redriderbob enough time in the day to be on the forums as much as we would like.

I have definitely said before that the forums aren't that busy, back when I was thinking of removing the forum or replacing it with a different forum platform as I wanted to use the license for this forum for another project as the ones we do for dedicated vehicles do seem to be a lot busier. That wasn't a dig at anyone on here or a tactic to try to get people to post more so I apologize if it came across that way.

I should have been more clear about the articles auto-posting to the forum. Previously we used Disqus for article comments and would get a lot of comments on articles, now the forum is actually integrated with the articles. When an article is posted it automatically creates a forum post, that forum post is then used as the comment section for that particular article, and all posts in that thread are shared between the article and the forum which in turn has created a busier forum of the past week or so.

The idea is that it creates a busier/better forum platform for everyone.

Some good points.

This site doesn't have many posters due to various reasons. Some are connected to various forum malfunctions which are finally sorted out.

For article comments. I think this is a good way to do it but maybe all of them should be in the same sub-forum. JMO.
