Does Your Charger Or 300 Have Interior Issues?

Is the door panel on your Dodge Charger or Chrysler 300 Series car delaminating and lifting up along the window line of the door? Are the console trim piece next to the shifter also delaminating as if they are peeling back? Well, unfortunately, you are not alone. There seems to be a trend of cases popping up in social media with people talking about similar issues. Even our vehicles here at MoparInsiders have been experiencing the issues. 

Our long-term 2016 Dodge Charger SRT392 has had two of its door panels replaced under a goodwill program since the car recently came out of warranty. While my father’s 2017 Chrysler 300S sedan has had three of its door panels replaced under warranty with under 20,000 miles on the odometer.

So what is the issue? A supplier issue? Is it a manufacturing issue? Is it a material issue in the supply chain? We, along with other owners talking about it on social media, are grateful to have the replacements. However, we are also concerned that these replacements might not hold up over time. The next question is if the 2016 and 2017 model year vehicles are experiencing issues, will the 2018 or 2019 models be next?

Since our Charger SRT392 is out of warranty, I will probably have to order the replacement console pieces for it. I am not going to lie, seeing interior panels delaminate on these cars is quite disappointing.
