Stellantis Pilots Mobile Service Program in the Southwest
Bringing Vehicle Repairs to Your Driveway

Stellantis is gearing up to meet customers where they are with a new mobile service program, which is currently being tested in select cities across the Southwest. The initiative aims to provide convenient maintenance and light repairs at the customer’s home, work, or any preferred location, making vehicle servicing easier.
Jeep® Senior Vice President Mike Koval Jr. confirmed the pilot program at the 2025 Chicago Auto Show, emphasizing Stellantis’ commitment to improving customer service. “I will come to you, wherever you are, your home, your place of work. If I need to take your vehicle, I’ll bring alternate transportation. I don’t want you to have to lift a finger,” Koval Jr. stated.
Benchmarking the Best –

While Stellantis is still fine-tuning the program, Koval Jr. acknowledged that other automakers, including Ford, Rivian, and Tesla, have already rolled out similar services.
“Ford is much further along than we are,” he admitted. “I can learn from others.” The company has studied Ford’s nationwide mobile service model and the direct-service approach taken by Tesla and Rivian to develop a plan that best serves Stellantis customers.
What the Mobile Service Covers –
Initially, the mobile service will handle basic maintenance and minor repairs, such as:
- Oil Changes and Fluid Top-Offs
- Tire Rotations and Inspections
- Software Updates
- Recall Fixes and Technical Service Bulletin Repairs
How It Works –
Unlike Tesla and Rivian, which own and operate their mobile fleets, Stellantis plans to work through its dealership network. “Dealers are not the enemies,” Koval Jr. said. “We want to work with them as partners.” The program won’t take existing dealership technicians out of the shop but will require hiring new service techs with a “slightly different skill set and a slightly different profile.”
Scaling Up for 2025 –

The mobile service pilot is currently running in a handful of cities in the Southwest, but Stellantis hopes to expand it nationwide by 2025. The company is also considering partnerships with third-party providers to manage the fleet and upfitting service vans. “There’s a lot of infrastructure involved,” Koval Jr. noted. “Like, who’s gonna buy the vans? Who’s gonna upfit the vans? That’s not inexpensive.”
With its mobile service program, Stellantis is taking steps to modernize vehicle maintenance, ensuring that customers can get essential repairs done without disrupting their daily routines. As the pilot expands and the company finalizes its approach, expect a more convenient way to keep your Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep®, Fiat, and/or Ram in top shape—without ever stepping foot in a dealership.
