FCA Canada Shines At The Canadian International Auto Show:

Heavy Duty & Warlock Make Their Canadian Debut...

MoparInsiders.com spent this past weekend in Toronto, Ontario at the 2019 Canadian International Auto Show. While MoparInsiders.com and our sister site HDRams.com covered the debut of the 2019 Ram 2500/3500 Heavy Duty lineup in Detroit and the 2019 Ram 3500/4500/5500 Heavy Duty Chassis Cabs in Chicago last weekend, we were also there for the Canadian debut of the new 2019 Ram Heavy Duty lineup.

While the 2019 Ram Heavy Duty was the star of the show for the Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) lineup, Ram also launched the new 2019 Ram 1500 Classic Warlock Special Edition. Taking elements from the 4th generation Ram 1500 Rebel and blending them with the 2019 Ram 1500 Express, Ram created a sporty package with aggressive looks in a very affordable package.

We also had a chance to check out the Canada-Only 2019 Ram 1500 Sport. We have talked about this popular Canadian model and how American Ram Truck fans are envious of our neighbors to the north.

The Dodge lineup shined in Toronto. While Dodge left out the popular Dodge Journey and Dodge Grand Caravan models from the Detroit and Chicago auto shows, both models were present at the Canadian International Auto Show. The Dodge brand also showed off a couple of Challenger models (SRT HELLCAT Widebody and SRT HELLCAT Redeye Widebody), as well as a couple of Durango models and a pair of Dodge Charger models. One of those Charger models was the new 2019 Dodge Charger Scat Pack Daytona 392 package, which looked great with its new grille for the model year.

Chrysler had multiple Pacifica minivans on tap for the public to see in Toronto. However, again the Chrysler brand only had one Chrysler 300S on display. The under-performing Fiat Canada brand was also represented by the Fiat 500 and the sporty Fiat 124 Spider. Even though the market has shifted from cars to trucks, it upset us that the Chrysler 300 and the Fiat models didn’t get more attention. The Chrysler 300 outsold the Dodge Charger sedan by almost 3 to 1.

With the success of the Jeep brand in Canada, it was no surprise that the Jeep brand took up most of the space of FCA’s auto show exhibit. While the Jeep lineup consisted of the new 2019 Jeep Cherokee, Grand Cherokee, Wrangler, Wrangler Unlimited and Compass, we got to see the new 2019 Jeep Renegade as well. But the centerpiece of the Jeep exhibit was the four 2020 Jeep Gladiator models on the floor of the show. This made for the first big public showing of the all-new Gladiator in Canada.

The Alfa Romeo and Maserati brands were highlighted away from the core Mopar brands and were placed with other luxury manufacturers in another part of the building. While Maserati brought a single car from each of their vehicle lineups, Alfa Romeo showed off not only mainstream models of the Alfa Romeo Giulia and Stelvio but had the 505 horsepower Quadrifoglio models of both. It also didn’t stop the 4C Spider from also making an appearance.

If you want to see the FCA Canada lineup at the Canadian International Auto Show, it runs until February 24th. You can find out more about the show and tickets, at Autoshow.ca.
