We Put Our Long-Term 2019 Dodge Challenger Scat Pack 1320 Into The 11s:

With Some Good Advice And Interior Adjustments, We Went Back To The Track...

This past week, we got our chance to get back to the drag strip with our long-term 2019 Dodge Challenger R/T Scat Pack 1320. With some great weather in the forecast and us looking to get the car in the 11-second range, we decided to take out the passenger seat, rear seat, and Harman Kardon subwoofer in the trunk to see if the elimination of some weight would help.

If you have been following our long-term 2019 Dodge Challenger R/T Scat Pack 1320, you will know we ordered the car without the rear seat. However, as this car also serves as our long-term daily driver, we ordered many of the creature comforts like the Leather/Alcantara seats and the 900-watt Harman Kardon sound system. During the ordering process, Dodge revamped their 1320 ordering to have all models with those options to include a rear seat with the 1320 Plus Group.

Taking some advice from our new friend Demon Jr. 1320, we aired up the front tires to 44psi, lowered the rear tires to 18psi and launched the car using the transbrake to launch the car around 1,600RPM. The setup was an instant improvement. After footbraking the car instead of using the transbrake at the same RPM, we put the car into the 11-second range, not once but twice.

Because of the popularity of the car, we have also recently started a specific Instagram page for the car, covering more behind the scenes content, as well as covering the daily driving aspect of the car, which you can see at @NGRYBEE.

Stay tuned, as we are taking the car to have its paint issue dealt with this next week, and we are also looking at a new set of drag radial tires and/or drag wheels for the car to push it even deeper into the 11s. Special thanks to our sponsor White Rock Dodge for jumping on board to keep our drag racing efforts going.
