Stellantis Appoints Bob Broderdorf Jeep® Global CEO

Antonio Filosa Will Retain North America COO...

Stellantis has officially appointed Bob Broderdorf as the Global CEO of Jeep®, marking a major shift in leadership as the company restructures its global operations. Broderdorf, who previously served as Senior Vice President and Head of Jeep North America, will now oversee the legendary brand’s worldwide strategy.

With over 25 years of experience at Dodge and Ram, Broderdorf has been instrumental in Jeep’s recent growth. Since taking charge of Jeep North America in November 2024, he has helped increase Jeep’s U.S. market share by 16%while reducing inventory by over 30%.

“I’m honored to step into the Jeep CEO role to build upon the strong foundation established by Antonio (Filosa) and the team,” said Broderdorf. “Leading a brand with such a rich history is both a privilege and a responsibility. This year, we will strengthen the brand with a strategic investment of over $3 billion across the business to rebuild trust with our dealers and introduce new products that will resonate with our customers.”

A Unified Leadership Structure for Jeep –

In his new role, Broderdorf will lead a newly structured Jeep global leadership team, merging North American and international operations into a single entity. This move is designed to streamline sales, marketing, product development, and communications, allowing Jeep to better compete worldwide.

To support this new strategy, Mike Koval Jr. has been appointed Senior Vice President and Head of Sales Operations for Jeep. Koval previously served as Mopar North America’s Senior VP and was the CEO of the Ram brand from 2020 to 2021, where he oversaw multiple years of sales growth.

Antonio Filosa on Broderdorf’s Appointment –

Antonio Filosa, Stellantis North America Chief Operating Officer (COO), expressed strong confidence in Broderdorf’s ability to lead Jeep into its next growth phase.

“We are thrilled to appoint Bob to drive the legendary Jeep brand forward during this transformational time,” Filosa stated. “Having had the pleasure of working closely with him over the years, I couldn’t be more confident in Bob’s leadership. Since November 2024 alone, Bob has grown Jeep’s market share by 16% and reduced inventory by over 30% in the U.S.

“The growth plan Bob established for North America has set a strong foundation to launch into 2025, and I look forward to continuing to work alongside him to introduce more Jeep vehicles globally than ever before.”

A $3 Billion Investment in Jeep’s Future –

With Jeep undergoing a major transformation, Stellantis is investing over $3 billion in product development, marketing, and dealer relations. Broderdorf emphasized that rebuilding trust with dealers is a top priority, alongside introducing new vehicles that will connect with customers.

“This year, we will strengthen the brand with a strategic investment of over $3 billion across the business to rebuild trust with our dealers and introduce new products that will resonate with our customers,” Broderdorf reiterated.

A Strategic Shift for Stellantis –

Broderdorf’s promotion is part of a larger organizational restructuring at Stellantis, with Antonio Filosa continuing as North American COO, overseeing Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, and Ram. These moves reinforce Stellantis’ commitment to improving dealer relations, refining brand strategies, and expanding Jeep’s global presence.

With Broderdorf now at the helm, Jeep heads into 2025 with a clear vision for growth, aggressive marketing strategies, and a renewed commitment to its off-road legacy.

Congratulations! With your new global role, I certainly hope that you will review and can do something about the Australian operation. Customer perception of Jeep is very poor due to quality, reliability and lack of a "care for the customer" approach. Your vehicles are so expensive now and "Value for money" is long gone! No Diesel (or even V8) engine options (in Australia) have turned away the towing trade and the farmer trade. If you can't build one, surely "Cummins" can build a Diesel for the Wrangler/Gladiator and Grand Cherokee. Yes, a small number of Jeeps are selling, but Toyota and Ford are the chosen ones at the moment. It is so sad to see all of this potential and nothing being done about it! Oh, I almost forgot, we now have China sending shiploads of Diesel Pickups/SUV's to Australia!
