EVENT: SRT Hayes Private Track Rental June 20th & 21st At Grand Bend Motorplex:

It’s that time of year again for another SRT Hayes private track rental! Our good friend Dave Hayes is running another private track rental at Grand Bend Motorplex (home of the Mopar Canadian Nationals) on June 20th and 21st. The two-day event costs just $200 Canadian to enter and you can get as many quarter-mile runs in as you want from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm on both Saturday and Sunday.

We attended two of the SRT Hayes Demon events last year and they were worth the trip. The first time I attended, I ended up flying out of my home in Vancouver, while Co-Editor Robert Miller had only a short drive from Michigan. Dave was gracious enough to give me a ride down the quarter-mile in his 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon, which was an exhilarating experience.

The second time, I drove our then two-week-old long-term 2018 Jeep® Grand Cherokee Trackhawk all the way across Canada, from Vancouver B.C to Grand Bend, Ontario to take part in the event. At that even, Dave let us get some seat time in his 840 horsepower Demon and make some passes, which can be seen in the video above.

These events are an amazing way to spend the weekend and you have an opportunity to get in as many passes down the quarter-mile as you would like. There are also some really amazing Mopars that turn out at the events, from stock to heavily-modified Challenger SRT Demons and even some more crazy build’s like our friend Charles’ 2019 Ram 1500 Rebel which is powered by a 707 horsepower supercharged HELLCAT motor.

Unfortunately, the MoparInsiders team won’t be able to make this event. But if you live in the province of Ontario and are looking for a fun-filled weekend where you can bring the family, watch some good racing, and enjoy some awesome machines, be sure to check out the event as it is well worth entering.

Location: Grand Bend Motorplex in Grand Bend, Ontario, Canada
Time: 10:00 am – 6:00 pm, Tune & Test
Price: $200 per car/driver (includes Saturday and Sunday. No single day passes available)

Up to x4 family/crew members allow per car (based on COVID-19 restrictions)
Limited spots are available.
Looking for DEMON, REDEYE, HELLCAT racers
All makes and models are welcome…..Ford, Chevy, Dodge, etc.

Itinerary:
9:00 am – Sat/Sun: Check-In
9:45 am – Sat/Sun: Meeting to go over rules and questions.
10:00 am – Sat/Sun: Group Photo, meet in the lineup pit area.
2:00 pm – 4:00 pm – Sat/Sun: for people that just want to race for fun/trophy. We will be doing bracket and heads up Racing.
6:00 pm, Sunday: Trophy and speeches

You will also be able to give your family/crew rides down the Dragstrip.

In the event that it looks like a high probability for rain, based on the track manager and my discretion, the event will be canceled for that day, (or the whole weekend if necessary) and you will be refunded. If it rains only on one of the days, you will be refunded half of the fee, and the event will still run for the other day.

A great opportunity to get lots of runs and practice. The price goes up at the gate if spots are still available.
