SPOTTED: 2024 Dodge Charger Daytona Scat Pack First Edition

Same Car We Seen A Couple Weeks Ago, Is Headed Out West...

As we reported recently, Stellantis engineers are hard at work addressing issues with the upcoming 2024 Dodge Charger Daytona e-muscle car. The launch of the all-new, all-electric Charger Daytona has been pushed back 90 days to ensure a smooth rollout in its debut year. The Charger Daytona, along with its STLA Large architecture sibling, the all-new, all-electric Jeep® Wagoneer S, is currently undergoing cross-country testing.

Last month, one of our readers spotted both the Dodge Charger Daytona and Jeep Wagoneer S at a Detroit area EVGo charging station during some on-road testing. Recently, YouTuber @swaump caught the same two vehicles in Arizona, with the Charger Daytona parked and the Hydro Blue-painted Wagoneer S in tow.

This particular prototype appears to be a 2024 Dodge Charger Daytona Scat Pack First Edition Configuration 1, featuring:

  • Direct Connection eStage 2 Upgrade –
    • +80 horsepower (total 670 horsepower)
  • Track Pack –
    • Red Brembo® 6-Piston Fixed Front Rotors
    • Front: 305/35R20 A/S Tires & Rear: 325/35R20 A/S Tires
    • High Back Leather / Suede Performance Seats
    • Drive Experience Recorder (DXR) with Forward Camera & USB Data Output
  • Plus Group –
    • Ventilated Front Seats
    • Heated Second Row Seats
    • Interior Ambient Lighting
    • Heads-Up Display (HUD)
    • Premium LED Headlamps with Cross Car LED DRL Signature Light
    • Illuminated Door Handles
  • Sun & Sound Group –
    • Fixed & Tinted Full Glass Roof
    • Alpine PRO® 18-Speaker Premium Sound System with Subwoofer and 914-Watt Amp
  • Carbon & Suede Package –
    • Dark 20-Inch x 11-Inch Aluminum Wheels
    • Carbon Fiber Mirror Caps
    • Dark Bee Fender Badge
    • Carbon Fiber Center Console
    • Carbon Fiber Instrument Panel and Door Inlay
    • Suede Instrument Panel Mid-Bolster
    • Suede Headliner and A-Pillar

The new e-muscle car is expected to debut in August, likely coinciding with Roadkill Nights just before the Woodward Dream Cruise. Woodward has historically been a significant launchpad for several special edition Dodge muscle cars, so it would make sense for an official reveal to occur the week before or during the Dream Cruise.

Our dealer sources have provided details about the 2024 lineup, which includes five distinct First Edition configurations: two Daytona R/T models and three Daytona Scat Pack variants. The 2024 First Edition models will feature standard Direct Connection eStage upgrades, which must be purchased separately through the Mopar Direct Connection catalog for the 2025 model year.

We’re excited to see the new Charger Daytona revealed after almost two years since the Dodge Charger Daytona SRT Banshee Concept was unveiled at M1 Concourse in August 2022.

Trying hard to like this thing, really. Not ugly, really trying to do the difficult tight rope walk, but it’s bland, unimagined, like a styling jumble that does not look aggressive or tough enough. I’m left disappointed. The Dodge folks promised a slightly smaller, shorter, wider but lighter and updated Charger AND Challenger. We got this, something that might have worked as a four door Charger, but as a coupe replacement for the Challenger, it fails miserably.
Hear elsewhere on line and saw a rendition of a smaller, Hurricane six line of Dodge Cudas. Hope it’s true or sadly, this won’t cut it. Sorry, I tried.

Yes, grammar and punctuation still matter.

And cuda is dead.
