Dodge is ramping up the anticipation for the global reveal of its seventh and final 2023 “Last Call” special-edition model with a new teaser series. The latest teaser, titled “Scream @ 215 mph,” suggests that there is a key to unlocking the full power of the ultimate Dodge vehicle.
In the teaser, we get a glimpse of the new “Goblin” character, which may hint at the name of the new extreme performance Challenger. We see a hand holding a handheld anemometer that inputs the text “105@[3.02×2.98]=” into the device. The Goblin then blows into it, creating a sound similar to the rumble of a HELLCAT. The machine reads 1,582, which suggests that the Goblin is capable of sucking in a significant amount of air.
This teaser has led us to speculate that Dodge engineers have come up with something even better than the Air-Grabber™ hood and sealed air box found on the Challenger SRT Demon. When Dodge announced the SRT Demon in 2017, it claimed that its air-flow rate was 1,150 cubic feet per minute (CFM), which was 18% greater than the standard HELLCAT and the largest air induction volume of any production car.
While it is highly unlikely that this street-legal drag racing-oriented Challenger will have a 1/4-mile speed of 215 mph, it is clear that the new “Goblin” will be able to suck in a substantial amount of air. This will undoubtedly help the car perform at its best on the track.
The global debut of the final “Last Call” special-edition vehicle will take place during the Dodge Last Call Powered by Roadkill Nights Vegas event at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway on March 20th, 2023. The next teaser will debut on March 14th. For those who can’t attend, you will be able to watch the unveiling LIVE here on MoparInsiders.com
Dodge has a history of producing powerful and exciting vehicles, and the upcoming release of the new “Goblin” is sure to generate a lot of buzz. Fans of the brand will undoubtedly be eagerly awaiting the reveal of this final special-edition model, which promises to be a fitting end to the “Last Call” series. With its powerful engine and advanced air intake system, the new “Goblin” is sure to be a formidable presence on the drag strip and on the open road.
