We Went To The Chrysler Employee Motorsport Association (CEMA) Show

Great Cars, Great People, For A Great Cause...

Last Saturday, automotive enthusiasts and Mopar fans gathered at the Chrysler Technical Center (CTC) in Auburn Hills, Michigan, for the 32nd annual Chrysler Employee Motorsport Association (CEMA) car show. This highly anticipated event, organized by a non-profit group of Chrysler employees and retirees, showcased a remarkable display of vehicles while fostering a sense of camaraderie among car enthusiasts.

The CEMA car show distinguishes itself by embracing the spirit of inclusivity. Unlike other car clubs, CEMA welcomes not only Mopar owners but also those with a fondness for vehicles from different brands. This open-minded approach has attracted a diverse community of individuals who share a common passion for cars, trucks, and motorcycles.

While the CEMA car show is an opportunity to revel in the beauty of exceptional vehicles, it also serves a noble purpose. For several years, the event has raised funds for the Leader Dogs For The Blind organization, a program that trains dogs to assist visually impaired individuals in their daily lives. Through the entry fees of participating vehicles, generous donations are collected to support this remarkable cause. By attending the event, visitors not only indulge in their automotive interests but also contribute to the betterment of lives in their community.

Among the crowd favorites was Ralph Gilles’ awe-inspiring creation, the “Hellucination.” This 1968 Dodge Charger featured a Hellephant-powered engine and a carbon-fiber body crafted by SpeedKore Performance. Its presence at the event left spectators in awe of its raw power and remarkable craftsmanship. Additionally, the show exhibited an impressive collection of 1970 Chrysler 300s and a nostalgic display of 1980s and 1990s Dodge Daytonas, showcasing the rich heritage of the Mopar brand.

The CEMA organization’s ability to organize such an extraordinary event is a testament to its commitment to both the Mopar community and the broader car community. The show’s success lies in its ability to bring together individuals with shared interests, bridging gaps between different vehicle brands and eras. Whether you are a Mopar enthusiast or simply an admirer of automotive craftsmanship, the CEMA car show offers an unforgettable experience that should be on every car lover’s bucket list.
