Stellantis (FCA US, LLC) is recalling 13,119 units of its MOPAR Outside Rearview Trailer Tow Mirrors and Mirror Glass due to potential safety issues. The affected part numbers include 68286843AA, 68582424AA, 68582415AA, and 68462879AA.
The concern arises from the possibility of the mirror glass detaching from the driver’s side heated trailer tow rearview mirror. This defect violates the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 111, “Rear Visibility,” and poses a serious risk to driver safety by reducing visibility, potentially leading to an increased risk of crashes.
