Rampage Laramie Night Edition Debuts With New Diesel Engine

The Blacked-Out Look Joins the Powerful New Diesel Option

Ram Brazil has just turned up the heat on its wildly popular Rampage compact pickup by introducing the Laramie Night Edition for the 2025 model year. While the Laramie Night Edition isn’t a new package, 2025 marks the first time that new launched 2.2-liter (134 cubic-inch) MultiJet I4 turbodiesel engine can be paired with the darkened appearance package, offering a fresh does of style and performance to the Rampage lineup.

The new 2.2-liter MultiJet I4 turbodiesel cranks out an impressive 200 horsepower and 450 Nm (332 lb-ft) of torque, delivering strong performance and efficiency for a truck of its size. This engine pairs perfectly with the Laramie Night Edition’s sleek and aggressive styling.

Like other Night Edition packages, the blacked-out exterior, replacing the traditional chrome elements with body-color and glossy black accents. The front grille, window trim, upper headlight surrounds, and side mirrors are all finished in high-gloss black. Even the 18-inch aluminum wheels and the dark Granite Crystal skid plate and badges add to the package’s bold appearance. Rounding out the look, the rear bumper ditches chrome for a stylish black finish.

Inside, the Laramie Night Edition keeps things just as sharp. Black leather seats, along with darkened door panels, dashboard accents, and headliner, create a refined and sporty cabin atmosphere. This is a striking contrast to the usual Mountain Brown interior found in the standard Laramie trim.

Along with its fresh design, the Night Edition comes equipped with top-tier safety and technology features. The Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) Level 2 package is standard, offering enhanced safety features like Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Lane Keep Assist (LKA), and Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB).

The Night Edition package for the Rampage Laramie 2.2 Turbodiesel is now available at Ram Brazil dealerships, priced at R$ 5,000.00 (approximately $1,000 USD) over the standard Laramie 2.2 Turbodiesel. It can be paired with any of the available exterior colors, giving customers the freedom to create their ideal truck with a bold, sophisticated look.

Nice looking truck and it should make a great competitor for the Maverick. They need to get the back end of it down out of the air though. That would be a deal breaker for me. An overall good looking little truck that needs its reared lowered to a practical level. JMO

Looks too “imported”

Help me out here, what exactly was the reason, the thinking, of not bringing this wildly successful pickup to the US ? At best a “quick fix” but better than no fix at all. At least the model name would be out there on pickup buyers lips, at least a good number of these folks might have established some interest for this imported Ram. Is it me that needs help here or is it the past decision makers at Ram who missed the boat again and need some help, better known as a reality check in business circles.
I will respect the kind intentions of any help I get, but just for the record, Ram seems to be overly cautious, indecisive and plain and simple knowingly gas lighting folks on this issue. Gas light answer. “ Some people think it looks too imported” Whatever that look is, not defined here, SO WHAT ? Most think it looks very Ram and that is not a lot of gas, it’s what feedback on this site overwhelming might suggest. Check it out. Lost opportunity glaring Ram square in the face.
Am I wrong here or is there a reason that I’m to dense to see? Just asking!

A small(ish) truck with a diesel engine? Sign me up!!! I don't understand why Ram won't sell these in the states. I need a small 4x4 truck, not a 3/4 ton with four doors and a long bed. Diesel is also much more efficient than gas. I like the looks of it. All-in-all, I'm ready and waiting for one of these.
