Fiat 500ec Designio by Kahn: A New Muscular Look For The Italian City Car!

Famed British Tuner Gets Their Hands On The Popular Electrified Mini Car...

With the Fiat 500e scheduled to return to the North American market in 2024, the European market has had a couple of years to develop several aftermarket solutions for the popular Italian electric city car. Famed tuning British tuning house, Project Kahn, designer Afzal Kahn has put his personalized twist on the 500e.

Although Project Kahn usually works with more high-end models and the occasional Jeep® or two, they have chosen the 500e as their latest project. The result is a twist on the soft fun-loving tone of the OEM electrified city car, in favor of a grittier and aggressive look, that even outpaces the new look of the performance-oriented Abarth 500e.

Showcased on this Cabrio model, the new 500ec Designio by Kahn features refreshed front and rear styling that continues the 500e’s iconic DNA but added a more modern and agressive feel.

The 500ec Designio is adorned with a plethora of sporty, yet luxurious upgrades that help set it apart from the standard 500e.

A Designio grille in Gloss Onyx Black gives the vehicle an unmistakable identity, whilst a remodeled Satin Black front bumper valance has been inspired by track-focused racing vehicles from both the past and present.

A Satin Ceramic Grey hood with its deleted LEDs gives the vehicle a more purposeful demeanor, while the vortex-generating strakes from touring race cars provided the inspiration for the remodeled rear diffuser. Black side skirt paint detailing and shadow tint rear lights complete the striking look.

A set of 4-spoke 18-inch light aluminum wheels manufactured at Fondmetal, are finished in Hyper Silver, while an H&R sports suspension, lowers the vehicle by 25mm (1 inch).

The Designio theme is continued with Designio insignia shields, finished in Gold, and a Designio signature coach line emphasizing traditional British craftsmanship. Contrasting with the aggressive exterior, the high fashion-inspired interior epitomizes modern styling while taking cues from classic 1970s designs of the Milanese fashion houses.

The Designio Oyster 3D modular seating package features front and rear quilted seats finished in Ocean Teal vegan leather, complete with embossed Designio script. A full carbon steering wheel with a Silver center stripe provides a final luxurious touch.

“The purposeful exterior package along with the lavish interior will unleash Anglo-Italian style onto the streets of Britain and beyond,” commented Kahn about the 500ec Designio.

should have retained the DRL in the hood, I suppose they were going for a more sinister look.
