Will Supply Team With Trucks & Will Be Featured Across Motorcycle & Social Media Programs...
Over the past several weeks, the Ram Truck brand has been highlighted at the KTM hospitality tent at different events during the 2022 FIM Enduro World Championship and the FIM Hard Enduro World Championship. Now it appears that Ram and Red Bull KTM Factory Racing will officially partner, in an official press release released Saturday morning.
The collaboration is based on the brands’ shared values of power and agility, as well as on their innate ability to overcome any obstacle with grit and determination. The partnership will officially debut this weekend during the FIM Motocross World Championship round in Loket, Czech Republic. The American brand has put four 2022 Ram 1500 vehicles at the disposal of the Red Bull KTM Factory Racing teams to travel during the remaining 2022 season. Those vehicles include…
- (2) 2022 Ram 1500 TRX
- (1) 2022 Ram 1500 Laramie Night Edition
- (1) 2022 Ram 1500 Rebel
As part of the agreement, the Ram logo will be present on the MXGP motorcycles and around the paddock during the entire season, as well as on all of KTM’s social media channels—Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube. Moreover, RAM trucks will be on show during some scheduled events.
Domenico Gostoli, Head of RAM & Dodge Brands Enlarged Europe, stated that “In Europe, Ram is a brand with a specific and enthusiastic following. That’s why we are proud to announce a partnership with one of the largest motorcycle manufacturers. It will allow us to talk to an audience that is perfectly in line with our objectives. Our customer base is passionate, and they expect a Ram to be as exciting as an FIM Motocross World Championship race. Furthermore, diehard motorsport fans and the customers of our pickup both share passions for power and agility on any terrain, off-road motorcycles and pickups are to be a perfect fit”.
“Officially partnering with Ram gives key travel support to our racing program,“ stated Robert Jonas, KTM Head of Motorsports Offroad. “Ram and its Ram 1500 TRX model —the quickest, fastest, most powerful pickup truck in the world – fits our READY TO RACE approach perfectly and, importantly, Ram also has a long history in performance, so they know our demands for excellence in top-level sport. It’s important for the success of the Red Bull KTM Factory Racing Motocross and Enduro teams to have a good working partnership with such a quality brand and we look forward to starting this success together in the future.”
Located in Mattighofen, Austria, KTM is the largest European manufacturer of high-performing on-road and off-road motorsport vehicles. Over the years, its sports division has built up a reputation as a fierce competitor on racetracks around the world, as it takes part in the most important motorsport competitions like the FIM Motocross World Championship and the FIM Hard Enduro World Championship—one of the most prestigious off-road competitions. So far, the brand has won over 327 world championship titles.
In 2021 KTM excelled in the FIM MXGP Motocross World Championship, with Jeffrey Herlings winning his fifth crown and his second in the MXGP category with his KTM 450 SX. In the same year, Tony Cairoli capped off an incredible career in which he won 9 world titles, including 94 victories in the Grand Prix and the team trophy at the Motocross des Nations.
The remarkable success the brand has achieved on the world stage comes thanks to its innovation and passion for building high-performing motorcycles which seek to improve the rider’s overall experience. The inclusion of race-tested technology in KTM products allows riders to experience the exhilarating performance which defines the brand first-hand.
As far as the specific vehicles are concerned, the black Ram 1500 TRX will be at the disposal of Red Bull´s KTM Factory Rider Tom Vialle and located in the paddock during the FIM Motocross World Championship races in Belgium, Sweden, and Finland. Meanwhile, a red Ram 1500 TRX will be given to the Red Bull KTM Factory Racing MXGP Team Manager and showcased in the Paddock during races in France and the Czech Republic. For the rest of the team, Ram has supplied the Ram 1500 Laramie Night Edition and Ram 1500 Rebel models. These Ram 1500 setups set themselves apart for their combination of best-in-class performance, payload, luxury, and technology.
The fierce Motocross Red Bull KTM Factory Racing team features Jeffrey Herlings riding the KTM 450 SX-F and Tom Vialle riding the KTM 250 SX-F. On the other hand, the Enduro range is represented by Josep Garcia on a KTM 350 EXC-F and Manuel Lettenbichler riding his KTM 300 EXC.
The results didn’t take long in coming this year: in fact, Tom Vialle is leading the MX2 class of the FIM Motocross World Championship and Manuel Lettenbichler recently won the Red Bull ErzbergRodeo, one of the toughest Hard Enduro races in the world. Finally, Josep Garcia is the current FIM Enduro2 World Champion and Jeffrey Herlings is the 2021 FIM MXGP Motocross World Champion.
The FIM Motocross World Championship typically makes stops around the world, including Europe, Asia, South America, the USA, and more – along with the legendary Monster Energy FIM Motocross of Nations that brings together the best riders in the world for a unique team event that sees each nation battles it out for the Chamberlain Trophy. Thanks to this cooperation Ram will receive four advertising boards around the track and an activation area in the paddock/public area at all European events, which will give audiences in Europe the chance to learn more about Ram’s product range and become more familiar with the brand.
