Prefix Performance Operations Manager, Rick Talbot, said, “After a tremendous 2018 season that included our engines powering two of the top three finishers in TA2, including winning the championship, Prefix is thrilled to expand our track side support program for the 2019 season.”

To support a growing number of teams relying on Prefix power, Prefix will have a technical support trailer at all 2019 TA2 national events. “Our technical trailer will provide a new level of service for our customers.” Talbot said. “The vehicle will house parts, tools, components, and complete engines to keep our customers competitive on the track.”

Stevens-Miller Racing Owner Joe Stevens said, “Having Prefix engines under our hoods last season was huge! More importantly however, having the Prefix Performance Engine Team looking over our power plants was absolutely critical throughout the season. Consistency, just as much as horsepower wins championships, and Prefix gave us both.” For 2019, SMR will use Prefix power exclusively in all of our entries, including Dodge, Ford, and Chevy. Joe concluded with, “Having a Tier 1 supplier to the OEMs involved in Trans Am is tremendous not just for our team but the series as whole.”

Additionally, Prefix will have access to the Stevens-Miller Racing (SMR) Corporate Hospitality Center to meet with current and potential clients. Prefix’s initial participation with Joe Stevens and his team has been a successful venture, and has now grown substantially.

Eric Zeile, Prefix President said, “Trans Am represents a great opportunity for us to promote the Prefix brand. Due to the confidential nature of the prototype work we are involved with, many performance enthusiasts aren’t yet familiar with who we are, or what we do.

The Trans Am series is one part of an aggressive marketing effort to change that.” In fact, our current technical partnership agreements with Liqui Moly and Berryman Products would not have been possible without our participation with Stevens-Miller Racing and the Trans Am series.”
