1973 Plymouth HEMI® ‘Cuda Restomod Roars to Auction

5.7-liter HEMI Restomod Heads To Palm Beach...

There’s something special about a classic American muscle car brought back to life with modern performance under the hood. That’s exactly what you get with this one-of-a-kind 1973 Plymouth Barracuda custom coupe, set to cross the auction block at the Barrett-Jackson Palm Beach auction, April 24–26, 2025. And the best part? It’s selling with No Reserve.

Under the hood sits a Gen3 5.7-liter (345 cubic-inch) HEMI® V8 — the modern version of Mopar’s legendary powerplant. It’s mated to a high-performance 4-speed automatic transmission that delivers quick shifts and reliability for cruising or hitting the throttle hard. Since the build was completed, this custom ‘Cuda has seen only about 880 miles of road time, making it a fresh, dialed-in restomod.

The engine bay is clean and functional, featuring an aluminum radiator, aluminum catch can, and a custom K&N cold-air intake system, all designed to keep the HEMI cool and responsive. It also runs a Vintage Air climate-control system, giving you modern A/C performance with a retro vibe.

Handling and braking get a serious upgrade too. The suspension uses tubular control arms, adjustable coilovers front and rear, a performance rear sway bar, and custom torque sway bars, giving this classic coupe real road-handling ability. Rack-and-pinion steering and four-wheel disc brakes make it drive like a modern car.

It looks the part, too. The body is finished in clean Alpine White and features a lightweight ’Cuda T/A fiberglass hood, custom body stripes, front and rear spoilers, and a classic Go Wing. It rolls on 3030 Autosport Pro Touring wheels that complete the aggressive, Pro-Touring stance.

Inside, it’s a full custom job. A leather interior, custom center console, eight-ball shifter, and a Sharp-brand steering wheel are mounted on a custom column. You also get Barracuda-branded digital gauges and a custom neon blue-lit start panel with push-start ignition, fuel pump, fan, and auxiliary switches. Even the power windows, door panels, and headliner are one-off pieces made just for this build.

The car keeps its classic identity with the original factory VIN and Data Tag intact, giving collectors peace of mind that it started life as a real-deal ’73 Barracuda.

With muscle, style, and attention to detail from front to back, this Gen3 HEMI-powered custom ‘Cuda is built to impress. And with no reserve, the hammer will fall — no matter the final bid. If you’re looking for a true modernized Mopar legend, keep an eye on this one in Palm Beach.
