Ram 1500 Has Been Racking Up The Wins Already In 2020 Model Year...

At a special ceremony last week in Toronto, the all-new Ram 1500 was declared the 2020 Pickup of the Year by the editors of Auto123.com.

Ram 1500 bested two other North American rivals to take the trophy, which was voted on by seven expert automotive critics who contribute to the well-respected bilingual website.

“In the past two weeks alone, Ram brand has been recognized with over half a dozen awards,” said Reid Bigland, President and CEO, FCA Canada. “From back-to-back MotorTrend Truck of the Year titles, to ‘Truck of Texas,’ to today’s Auto123.com honors, the strength of Ram trucks is winning over hard-to-please critics across North America.”

Aforementioned awards aside, Ram 1500 also made the Car and Driver’s 10Best Cars and Trucks list, U.S. News & World named Ram Truck the Best Truck Brand, Green Car Journal named Ram 1500 the 2020 Green Truck of the Year™ and at the Hispanic Motor Press Awards Ram 1500 took top spot in the pickup truck segment.

In Canada earlier this month, Ram 1500 was named a repeat winner for best amongst Full-Size Pickup Trucks in the 2020 Le Guide de l’auto/The Car Guide Best Buy Awards, and in October, the Automobile Journalists Association of Canada (AJAC) presented Ram truck with an Innovation Award for its game-changing new Blind-spot Monitoring with Rear Cross Path and Trailer Detection system.

For the 2020 Auto123.com awards, the editors chose the best vehicles in 20 categories. Their comments on Ram 1500 included: “A renewed design and an interior worthy of a luxury car in the higher trims; the Ram is the most attractive offering in this segment,” and, “the 1500 features not just a sumptuous interior, but one that’s more useful and packed with next-generation tech its rivals simply can’t match.”
