Cummins Kicks Off Diesel Recall Rewards in Florida and Oregon

Ram Owners Can Get $200, Extended Warranty, and Weekly $10K Giveaway

If you own a 2013 to 2018 Ram 2500 or 3500 Heavy Duty trucks with the 6.7-liter Cummins turbodiesel I6 engine, there’s a good chance your truck is affected by Emissions Recall 67A—a federally mandated software update designed to fix emissions system issues without hurting performance. Now, Cummins is making it easier—and a lot more rewarding—for Florida and Oregon owners to take action with a new pilot program called “Win-Win and Win Again.”

What Is Emissions Recall 67A? –

Let’s break it down. In early 2024, Cummins reached a major settlement with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Department of Justice (DoJ), and State of California over Clean Air Act violations. The problem? Cummins had programmed certain 2013 to 2019 Ram trucks with illegal software “defeat devices”, code that reduced or disabled emissions controls during normal driving conditions. Roughly 630,000 heavy-duty trucks were affected nationwide.

To address this issue, Cummins developed Recall 67A, a complimentary software update that disables the defeat device and brings the trucks into compliance with emissions standards. According to Cummins, the update does not affect horsepower, torque, throttle response, or fuel economy. The update typically takes less than an hour and must be completed at a certified Ram dealership.

Why Florida and Oregon? –

These two states were chosen to pilot the “Win-Win and Win Again” campaign due to their high populations of Ram Heavy Duty owners who haven’t yet completed Recall 67A. Cummins is trying to increase participation by offering real, tangible incentives to get the update done sooner rather than later.

Here’s What You Get –

2015 Ram 2500 Laramie Mega Cab 4×4. (Ram).

Complete Emissions Recall 67A at a participating Florida or Oregon Ram dealership between May 22 and August 23, 2025, and you’ll receive:

  • A $200 prepaid Mastercard® (one per verified VIN)

  • A free extended warranty covering select emissions components

  • Automatic entry into weekly $10,000 giveaways (13 total chances)

  • A Cummins “67A Swag Box”, while supplies last

Best part? If you don’t win the $10K the first week, you’re automatically re-entered every week through the end of the program. That means the earlier you get it done, the more chances you have to win.

No Catch—Just a Win-Win –

Cummins Executive Director of Pickup Programs, Jennifer Rager, put it simply:

“The update is designed to improve the vehicle’s emissions performance without impacting the engine’s torque, responsiveness, or horsepower. While the software update itself is quick to perform, this special incentive program is our way of showing gratitude for owners’ time and commitment.”

Already Completed the Recall During the Program Period? –

2018 Ram 2500 Limited Crew Cab 4×4. (Ram).

If you had the update done between May 22 and August 23, 2025, and you live in Florida or Oregon, you’re eligible too. Just head to:
