Limited Edition Viper, Shows Its True Worth...

The Dodge Viper was undoubtedly one of America’s greatest performance cars. Going through five generations of the V-10 powered snake, Dodge hand-built Vipers for 25 model years, before calling it quits in 2017. To help close out the Viper’s historic life, Dodge//SRT released five exclusive limited-edition models for collectors. Among them was GTS-R Commemorative Edition ACR.

The 2017 Dodge Viper GTS-R Commemorative Edition ACR was designed to pay tribute to one of the most distinguishable and iconic Viper paint schemes of all time – the white and blue combination of the 1998 Viper GTS-R GT2 Championship Edition. The car featured a Pearl White exterior with Blue Pearl GTS stripes, Extreme Aero Package, Carbon Ceramic brakes, Exterior Carbon Package, unique red Stryker badge decal, GTS-R exterior sill decals, USA flag B-pillar decals, ACR interior with red accent stitching, Header Red seat belts, serialized instrument panel GTS-R badge and a custom car cover that matched the exterior paint scheme and showcased the customer name above the driver’s side door.

Like the 1998 Viper GTS-R GTS Championship Edition, only 100 units were produced of the 2017 Dodge Viper GTS-R Commemorative Edition ACR. All 100 units sold out within two ordering days.

One of these limited-edition Vipers, recently was up for grabs on the popular automotive auction site, Bring A Trailer. This particular was serialized as #33/100 and only had 531 miles on the odometer since it was brought home.

There the 645 horsepower supercar had 24 bids placed on it, before being sold for a whopping $301,000. That is over double the original sticker price of $144,540 when it left Tomball Dodge. The Carfax report showed no accidents or other damage and listed history in Texas, Michigan, Florida, and North Carolina between 3 owners.

The car also included all of the manufacturer’s literature, spare parts, two keys, a Viper-branded bag, and a car cover that matches the exterior paint scheme of the car.

The sale of this car continues to show the love for the Viper, as the famed nameplate continues to bring in big dollars recently.
