Rare and potent, the 2005 Dodge Ram SRT-10 Yellow Fever edition is a collector’s dream. One of only 500 produced, with only 200 being regular-cab models. All were finished in Solar Yellow with black graphics on the domed hood. This truck includes a front air dam with integrated fog lights, a hood scoop, an SRT-specific rear spoiler, lower body cladding, and heated side mirrors.
The lowered suspension, compared to the standard Ram, stiffer springs, and an additional rear-axle damper limit axle hop. Mounted on polished 22-inch aluminum wheels with 305/40 Pirelli Scorpion Zero tiresFour-wheel ventilated discs handle braking.
Inside, the bolstered seats are trimmed in Dark Slate Gray leather with synthetic suede inserts and feature yellow stitching and SRT-10 headrest embroidery. Yellow trim accents the matching dashboard and door panels, and amenities include a power-adjustable driver’s seat, air conditioning, cruise control, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, a six-disc CD changer, push-button start, side curtain airbags, a Hurst shifter, metal pedal covers, and an Infinity CD stereo with a subwoofer.
A commemorative plaque on the center stack identifies this example as #173 of 500 Yellow Fever special edition examples produced. The four-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer, a tachometer with a 6k-rpm redline, and gauges for oil pressure, coolant temperature, voltage, and fuel level. An additional gauge for oil temperature is located on the A-pillar. The digital odometer indicates only 812 miles, approximately 20 of which were added during current ownership.
Under the hood, the 8.3-liter VIPER V10 is shared with the contemporary Dodge Viper and was factory rated at 500 horsepower and 525 lb.-ft. of torque. A Tremec T-56 six-speed manual transmission sends power to the rear wheels and a Dana 60 rear axle with a limited-slip differential.
