Morgan Olson Unveils Jeep® Gladiator-Based Kestrel Work Truck

New Morgan Olson's Newest Work Truck Focuses On Ruggedness and Versatility

Morgan Olson, North America’s leading manufacturer of walk-in step vans, officially unveiled its all-new Jeep® Gladiator-based Kestrel Work Truck at the 2025 Utility Expo in Louisville, Kentucky. Designed to meet the evolving needs of commercial, emergency, and service fleets, the Kestrel blends Morgan Olson’s durability with Jeep’s legendary off-road capability, creating a rugged and adaptable compact work truck ready for virtually any job.

Production is slated to begin in Spring 2026, with orders now open to fleet operators and businesses looking for a versatile and reliable solution that can go where traditional step vans can’t.

Compact, Agile, and Purpose-Built –

Named after the kestrel falcon—a bird known for its agility and precision—the new Morgan Olson Kestrel is designed to deliver maximum efficiency and capability in a compact footprint. While smaller than the brand’s signature walk-in step vans, it doesn’t compromise on utility or quality.

Its compact size makes it ideal for tight city streets, dense urban routes, or rugged off-road environments. Whether it’s hauling tools to a construction site, serving as a mobile service truck, or taking on last-mile delivery in rural areas, the Kestrel was built with flexibility in mind.

Available in left-hand (LHD) or right-hand drive (RHD), the Kestrel is ready for both domestic and international markets, making it equally at home on American highways or the narrow roads of Europe.

Built On A Proven Jeep® Gladiator Platform –

Underneath the purpose-built cargo body, the Kestrel rides on the Jeep® Gladiator chassis—a platform renowned for its toughness, off-road prowess, and dependability.

Power comes from the proven 3.6-liter Pentastar V6, paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission and four-wheel drive (4WD). The Kestrel is rated at approximately 17 MPG city and 22 MPG highway (13.8/10.7 L/100 km), giving it a solid balance between capability and efficiency.

With a payload capacity of 1,700 lbs (771 kg), towing capacity up to 6,000 lbs (2,721 kg), and gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) of 6,500 lbs (2,948 kg), this work truck packs serious muscle for its size.

The body measures 94 inches (2,388 mm) in length, 66 inches (1,676 mm) in width, and 41 inches (1,041 mm) in height, offering 150 cubic feet (4.25 m³) of cargo volume. Dual side roll-up doors and a rear roll-up door make loading and unloading quick and efficient. At the same time, optional slide-out shelving and cargo partitions help operators tailor the interior to their specific needs.

Comfort Meets Durability –

Morgan Olson understands that drivers spend long hours in their vehicles, and the Kestrel’s cab design reflects that. Despite its compact footprint, the interior offers automotive-grade comfort and technology, featuring a 6-way adjustable driver’s seat, Uconnect 5 infotainment system with touchscreen navigation, Bluetooth, USB ports, and SiriusXM radio.

Optional auxiliary switches facilitate the easy integration of aftermarket electrical accessories, including work lights and winches. Meanwhile, a 360-degree camera system, backup camera, and cross-view mirrors enhance visibility and safety in challenging job site conditions.

Ready For Any Job –

The Kestrel’s versatility enables it to adapt to a wide range of industries, including construction and contracting, utility companies, municipalities, and emergency services. Its durable steel frame and compact body ensure easy maneuverability through congested areas or narrow backroads, while its 4WD capability lets it confidently handle mud, snow, or gravel.

Morgan Olson is also offering factory-direct customization, allowing buyers to configure their trucks for specific duties. Options include cargo shelving (fixed or folding), slide-out trays, partitioning systems, and exterior lighting upgrades.

For fleet managers, Morgan Olson’s nationwide service network ensures easy maintenance and quick turnaround times, minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity.

Dealer Support & Ordering –

Another key advantage is Morgan Olson’s dealer integration with Jeep. Customers can order directly through participating Jeep dealerships worldwide, simplifying the purchasing process and providing access to a trusted support network.

“Morgan Olson put Kestrel on the Jeep Gladiator grit—driver first, upfit ready, and built to go anywhere the job takes you,” said Joe Rudolph, Vice President of Sales & Marketing at Morgan Olson. “We’re proud to bring a product to market that combines Jeep Gladiator toughness with our tradition of dependability, raising the bar for safety, serviceability, and total cost of ownership.”

Built To Go The Distance –

The Kestrel represents more than just a new model—it’s a strategic expansion of Morgan Olson’s lineup into the compact utility segment. It retains the company’s trademark craftsmanship while introducing a more maneuverable and globally adaptable platform for modern fleets.

By merging Jeep engineering with Morgan Olson’s body-building expertise, the Kestrel Work Truck stands as a bold example of American ingenuity. It’s ready to serve small businesses, large fleets, and municipalities that demand a capable, efficient, and reliable vehicle.

Orders for the Kestrel Work Truck are open now, with deliveries scheduled to begin in 2026.
