A 1969 Dodge Charger, extensively refurbished and modified, is now available for bidding on BringATrailer.com. The car underwent significant updates and customizations under previous ownership, enhancing its classic muscle car appeal with modern performance and comfort features.
Specifications and Modifications –
Under prior ownership, the Charger was fitted with a 6.1-liter (370 cubic-inch) HEMI® V8 engine paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission. This setup provides substantial power and a smooth driving experience. The vehicle is finished in Destroyer Gray (PDN), with the exterior also featuring body-color bumpers, hideaway headlights, LED taillights, tinted windows, and a flip-up fuel cap. The repaint also included shaving the side-marker lights and door handles.
The Charger sits on three-piece 19-inch L&B Forged wheels, wrapped in 275/35 front and 325/30 rear Hankook Ventus V12 Evo2 tires. To accommodate these larger tires, the rear fenders were trimmed. The car is equipped with power steering and Hotchkis front and rear sway bars for improved handling. Braking is handled by power-assisted Wilwood calipers with cross-drilled and slotted rotors at all four corners.
Interior and Features –
Inside, the Charger boasts a custom interior with heated power-adjustable front seats and contoured rear seats, all retrimmed in black leather with white stitching by California Upholstery. The cabin also includes brushed-aluminum trim accents, a suede-lined headliner, Vintage Air climate control, a custom center console, push-button ignition, ambient interior lighting, an Alpine infotainment system, and Cadence audio equipment. The Billet Specialties steering wheel is mounted in front of a customizable AutoMeter InVision digital display that provides readouts for speed, tachometer, and other gauges.
The digital odometer shows 400 miles, which reflects the distance driven since the completion of the build, with approximately 100 miles accumulated under current ownership. The total chassis mileage is unknown. The trunk compartment was also customized to house Cadence audio equipment behind a removable panel beneath the rear window.
Engine and Performance –
The 6.1-liter HEMI® V8 is equipped with a K&N air intake and an aluminum radiator. The dual exhaust system features MagnaFlow mufflers for enhanced performance and sound. The car’s original chassis number indicates it was initially powered by a 6.3-liter (383 cubic-inch) 4-BBL V8.
