Meet The ‘Trail-Rated’ 2024 Jeep® Wagoneer S Trailhawk Concept

The First Wagoneer To Proudly Wear The Trailhawk Badge...

Jeep® has once again pushed the envelope of capability and design with the introduction of its all-new Jeep Wagoneer S Trailhawk Concept. Unveiled after reveal of the 2024 Jeep Wagoneer S Launch Edition in New York City, this fully electric SUV is the first Wagoneer to proudly wear the Trailhawk badge, signifying its off-road prowess. The concept demonstrates Jeep’s commitment to combining rugged off-road capabilities with cutting-edge electric technology, all built on the versatile STLA Large platform.

Jeep® CEO Antonio Filosa, emphasized the heritage and innovative design that the new 2024 Jeep Wagoneer S embodies. “Like all Jeep brand SUVs, the new 2024 Jeep Wagoneer S descends from a rich heritage and is composed with legendary capability, innovative design and the flexibility to perform at its best both on- and off-road.” He highlighted the Trailhawk concept’s ability to navigate both tight corners and challenging off-road trails with ease.

Launch and Performance –

Like the 2024 Jeep Wagoneer S Launch Edition, Jeep’s first global battery-electric vehicle (BEV), the Wagoneer S Trailhawk Concept is powered by dual electric drive modules (EDMs) which deliver a combined 600 horsepower and 617 lb.-ft. of immediate torque, providing a lightning-quick 0 to 60 mph acceleration time of 3.4 seconds and range of more than 300 miles.

The Wagoneer S Trailhawk ensures that it offers the fun, freedom, and adventure that Jeep enthusiasts expect. The vehicle includes the standard Selec-Terrain® system with modes such as Auto, Sand, Snow, Eco, and Sport, plus an added Rock mode and a driver-selectable electronic rear-axle locker for enhanced off-road capability. The concept rides on robust 31.5-inch Falken Wildpeak A/T AT3W all-terrain tires, further showcasing its readiness for any terrain.

Design and Features –

Exterior –

The exterior of the Jeep Wagoneer S Trailhawk Concept combines functional design with rugged styling. The concept features a lifted suspension and aggressive front and rear designs with heavy-duty tow hooks. Functional air extractors are included to improve performance under high-speed conditions. The distinctive front-end design includes Jeep’s iconic seven-slot illuminated grille with textured slots and Storm Gray metallic accents.

The concept is finished in a special-edition Banner color, packed with features suited for tough adventures. These include an anti-glare hood decal, flush badging inspired by modern aircraft, orange tow hooks, unique 18-inch multi-piece wheels, a laser-cut aluminum roof rack, and a dual-pane panoramic sunroof for an open-air experience.

Interior –

Inside, the Trailhawk Concept is designed for adventure with Mantis Green non-leather synthetic material and meteorite-inspired real stone veneer accents. The interior also features Storm dark metallic accents and Radical Red anodizing, highlighting the vehicle’s capability features.

The redesigned octagonal steering wheel includes a tactical grip section at the 9 and 3 o’clock positions for all-terrain driving and a rounded profile for hand-over-hand maneuvering. The instrument panel features a functional cross-car grab bar with exposed fasteners and threaded inserts for mounting gear. This grab bar, along with the natural stone veneer behind it, adds a visual and tactile connection to the vehicle’s rugged nature.

The front seats, retaining their balance of sport and luxury from the standard Jeep Wagoneer S, are heated and ventilated, wrapped in Mantis Green with a unique chevron perforation pattern. The doors and center console feature a new modular cargo management system with re-configurable elastic straps, allowing for customizable storage and organization. The center console also includes a large open storage bin with a wireless phone charger and multiple USB outlets.

We were surprised to see a Trailhawk version of the Wagoneer S. We figured Jeep would save the off-road worthiness for the upcoming Recon 4xe, due out later this year. However, if Jeep doesn’t produce a production version of the Wagoneer S Trailhawk concept, we wouldn’t be surprised to see some of these elements wind up on the next-generation Cherokee, a sibling of the Wagoneer S, when it debuts in 2025.

As Jeep’s first fully electric Trailhawk, it combines advanced electric technology with the rugged, go-anywhere nature that the Jeep brand is known for. With its debut, Jeep continues to honor its legacy while pushing the boundaries of what is possible in the realm of off-road and EVs.

IF ONLY...... If only I did not love the styling on this Jeep. If only it was not all electric. If only this were a real vehicle I could buy.
Why did Jeep have to show this concept that has me enthralled with its styling and innovative features. Darn it Jeep, If only and why.
IF ONLY IT HAD A HURRICANE for guys like ME Possible, maybe, perhaps ?

The Hurricane six won't fit transversely in a front drive based vehicle. Look carefully at the proportions of the Trailhawk in the photos. It has the same long snout with front axle setback as the old Jeep Cherokee.

Why are the tow hooks red, and not 4xe blue?

This is more interesting to me than the regular one, but still, the swoopy rear design is a no-go for me.
