Track-Only Supercar Delivers Unmatched Performance in Exclusive First Delivery...

In a significant moment for Maserati, the brand’s most powerful track-only super sports car, the MCXtrema, made its North American debut this past weekend at the famed Monterey Car Week in California. This debut marked the first time the MCXtrema was seen and heard on U.S. soil, as Maserati delivered the first customer vehicle during a special event at Laguna Seca Raceway.

The Maserati MCXtrema, equipped with a 730-horsepower twin-turbo 3.0-liter Nettuno V6 engine, is a limited-edition track car, with only 62 units being produced worldwide. Designed to push the boundaries of performance, the MCXtrema reflects Maserati’s commitment to blending advanced technology with the brand’s signature Italian craftsmanship.

This weekend’s event at Laguna Seca culminated rigorous testing and development for the MCXtrema, which was built specifically for track use. The car’s debut on the iconic race track allowed enthusiasts to witness its capabilities firsthand, with Maserati’s Chief test driver, Andrea Bertolini, behind the wheel. Bertolini, known for his success in GT racing with Maserati, took the MCXtrema through its paces before ceremoniously handing over the keys to the car’s first customer.

Giovanni Sgro, Head of Maserati Corse, emphasized the importance of this moment for the brand. “Seeing the MCXtrema come to life has been a rewarding journey. Maserati unveiled the concept here in Monterey just a year ago, and now, we’re delivering the first one at Laguna Seca,” Sgro said. He highlighted the extensive effort put into the car’s development, noting that it embodies the spirit of Maserati while combining advanced technology with the brand’s traditional craftsmanship.

The MCXtrema’s journey from concept to reality was marked by detailed virtual simulations, including 200 hours in Maserati’s dynamic simulator and 1,000 hours of virtual analysis. These efforts ensured that the car would deliver optimal performance on the track, further enhancing Maserati’s reputation for high-performance vehicles.

A Unique Experience for Owners –

In addition to the car, Maserati offers a unique experience for MCXtrema owners through the MCXperience program. This exclusive program includes access to on-track experiences, a concierge service, and a custom racing kit designed by Maserati Centro Stile in collaboration with Sparco, a leading company in motorsport equipment. These services are designed to provide owners with a fully immersive experience in the world of Maserati racing.

As the first car was delivered to its owner at Laguna Seca, it was clear that the MCXtrema was more than just a vehicle; it symbolized Maserati’s dedication to pushing the limits of automotive performance.

Funny how much money Stellantis keeps sinking into Maserati which took a $80 million lost, but haven't really done anything for Chrysler other than a pipe-dreams Chrysler concept.
