Limited 10th Anniversary Edition Coming For The 2022 Ram 1500:
Ram Will Celebrate The 10th Anniversary Of Its Luxury Pickup With Even More Style...
Over the past year, the Ram Truck brand celebrated the 10th Anniversary of its popular western-themed Longhorn trim. Besides rebranding the Longhorn name from the Laramie Longhorn to the Limited Longhorn, to better align its luxury attributes with the top-of-the-line Limited model, Ram also introduced a special edition Limited Longhorn 10th Anniversary Edition which featured unique badging on the doors, tailgate, cluster, seats, floor mats, instrument panel, console lid, and a new start-up graphic.
The special edition model also included a luxurious interior featuring Mountain Brown color, unique door bolsters, seat inserts, trim bezels, center stack surround, speaker grilles, Berber carpet, and topped off with a Mopar bright medal pedal kit. Needless to say, the 2021 Ram 1500 Limited Longhorn 10th Anniversary Edition was a success for the brand and for Longhorn customers. With a price $1,220 USD price tag, the 10th Anniversary Edition was certain a great deal.
With the 2022 model year almost upon us, the Ram Truck brand is getting to celebrate another 10th Anniversary for its premium Limited trim level. The Limited trim has been the upper echelon of the Ram 1500 lineup since it made its initial debut on January 12th, 2012.
Then it was named the Laramie Limited and feature a body-color front fascia with fog lamps and a matching, painted rear bumper. The Laramie Limited featured a chrome grille with billet inserts from the Ram 1500 Sport, as well as chrome accents include body-side molding, mirrors, door handles, and tubular side steps. Laramie Limited models also featured 20-inch forged aluminum wheels with polished surfaces are accented with painted silver pockets. Ram eliminated the traditional HEMI® and R-A-M badges from the body side to give the Laramie Limited a cleaner street truck look.
Inside, there was a full-leather cockpit with dark slate Natura Plus leather seats and engraved details that lent the Laramie Limited style and sophistication. The seats were outlined in Medium Graystone leather piping. The center console featured a double stitched full-leather lid, while a premium leather-wrapped steering wheel and console-mounted shifter were also added.
The Laramie Limited also added premium leather-wrapped front and rear door trim, leather armrest uppers featuring the French stitching as the center console. Ultimately, Laramie Limited was the most premium offering in the pickup truck segment at the time.
Fast forward a decade and all those touches seem like a pretty standard thing in most mid-level luxury trucks. Already considered ahead of the rest of the segment in the terms of luxury, the 2022 Ram 1500 Limited 10th Anniversary Edition will add even more ultra-premium touches to the Limited trim, following in the footsteps of last year’s Limited Longhorn 10th Anniversary Edition.
Currently, the standard Limited is equipped with a premium full-leather front and rear reclining seats with heating and cooling, 100% full-grain hand-wrapped leather dashboard, door-panel coverings, and armrests, as well as real aluminum and wood accents, a 12-inch Uconnect touchscreen infotainment system (now with Uconnect 5 software for 2022), and power running boards, all as standard equipment.
