Leapmotor C10 REEV Lands in Australia with Game-Changing Range
Stellantis-Backed Chinese Brand Makes its Hybrid Electric Debut Down Under
Leapmotor, the fast-rising Chinese electric vehicle (EV) startup now backed by Stellantis, has officially launched its new C10 REEV (Range Extender Electric Vehicle) in Australia. The C10 REEV is Leapmotor’s first model to combine pure EV driving with a gasoline-powered range extender, offering an impressive combined driving range of up to 1,150 kilometers (714 miles) under NEDC (New European Driving Cycle) testing.
The move marks a significant expansion of Stellantis’ global EV strategy. The company continues diversifying its offerings with innovative models that provide electric convenience and long-distance capability.
Powertrain and Performance –

At the heart of the C10 REEV is a 158kW electric motor (212 horsepower) paired with a 1.5-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine, which acts solely as a generator — it does not drive the wheels. The system features a 28.4 kWh battery that delivers up to 170 km (106 miles) of all-electric range, with a total driving range of up to 1,150 km (714 miles) thanks to the range extender.
The vehicle uses only 0.9L/100km (260 mpg) combined fuel consumption, and emits just 21g/km of CO2, making it one of the most efficient hybrid-style vehicles in its class.
Fast Charging & Flexibility –

The C10 REEV supports both AC and DC fast charging, with DC charging taking the battery from 30% to 80% in just 18 minutes. This makes it ideal for Australian drivers looking for flexibility without sacrificing convenience on long trips.
Tech and Interior –

Inside, the C10 REEV is all about comfort and high-tech convenience. The cabin includes a 14.6-inch HD touchscreen, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, and steering wheel-mounted five-way scroll controls for easy access. The digital cockpit supports dual-zone voice recognition, while higher trims add customizable multi-color ambient lighting, OEKO-TEX® silicone leather upholstery, and a heated steering wheel and front seats.
Audio buffs will love the 12-speaker 840-watt surround sound system, which supports 7.1-channel audio and offers four unique listening modes. Thanks to the embedded 4G LTE connectivity, you can stream Spotify or join Zoom calls directly from the vehicle—no smartphone required. Wireless charging, Bluetooth key access, and an NFC-enabled keycard that unlocks the car via the driver’s side mirror round out the feature list.
Storage is generous too, with 546 liters (19.3 cu ft) of cargo space behind the second row and up to 1,375 liters (48.5 cu ft) with the seats folded. A total of 26 interior compartments and a fold-flat second row give it real versatility.
Safety Comes Standard –

When it comes to safety, Leapmotor didn’t cut corners. The C10 REEV rides on a high-strength steel frame designed to withstand 9 tons (19,800 lbs) of crushing force. Standard safety features include seven airbags, pre-tensioning seatbelts, and 17 advanced driver assistance features as part of its LEAP Pilot ADAS (Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems) system.
The tech includes Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Centering, Emergency Lane Keep, Front and Rear Collision Warning, Rear Cross Traffic Braking, and Blind Spot Detection. Other thoughtful features like Door Open Warning, Driver Drowsiness and Distraction Alerts, and Autonomous Emergency Braking all work together to make daily driving less stressful and far safer. Hands-Off Detection and Traffic Jam Assist further boost the semi-autonomous driving experience.

Peace of mind comes built in with Leapmotor Care, which includes a strong warranty and servicing package:
