Ram Takes Its 2500 Laramie Night Edition Pickup To Brazil:

Welcome To The Dark Side...

Last month, you may recall we talked in detail about the 2020 Ram 2500 Laramie pickup for the Brazilian market. The Brazilian-spec Laramie got a lot of attention from Ram Heavy Duty fans since it combines the package of the entry-level luxury Laramie model and adds the grille treatment from the North American-spec Limited models.

While the package has been the only Ram 2500 trim offered in the South American marketplace, Ram Truck’s Brazil division has announced that it will be introducing its widely successful Laramie Night Edition package to the Brazilian market for the first time. It will mark the first time, that the dark-themed Heavy Duty package has been offered outside the North American market.

With the updated fourth-generation Ram Heavy Duty’s imposing looks, the renovated pickup has become more aggressive than ever with the new Night Edition package. The package includes dark headlamps, dark taillamps, Gloss Black grille, dark themed mirror covers, black badging, and Gloss Black painted 18-inch aluminum wheels. To complete the darkened theme, the cabin features black materials including ceiling and pillar coverings. Body-colored bumpers also enhance the darker theme.

The Laramie Night Edition will only be offered with standard output 6.7-liter Cummins turbodiesel with 370 horsepower @ 2,800 rpm and 850 lb.-ft. of torque @ 1,700 rpm. Just like the North American version of the truck, it will come standard with the 68RFE 6-speed automatic transmission and four-wheel-drive.

Other standard equipment on the Brazilian-spec 2020 Ram 2500 Laramie Night Edition include the popular 12-inch Uconnect 4C touchscreen with Navigation, rear cross-traffic alert, blind-spot monitoring, and 360-degree surround-view cameras. Being introduced for the first time to the Brazilian market is the retractable Mopar rear step, which is housed underneath the rear bumper.
