Jeeps On The Run Highlights The New Wrangler Commando 392

A Military-Inspired Beast Salutes America's Veterans

When Jeep® does something special, it usually involves honoring its roots — and the all-new limited-edition 2026 Wrangler Commando 392 is exactly that. Last month, our friend and fellow content creator Mike Missak (@JeepsOnTheRun) had the chance to explore this hardcore machine up close at the Los Angeles Auto Show. His exclusive walkaround gave enthusiasts a real look at what makes this Wrangler such a powerful tribute to America’s military heritage.

The Commando 392 isn’t just a sticker package. It’s built in partnership with Fox Factory™ as a true off-road performer with a bold retro-modern style. Jeep’s legendary connection to U.S. troops dates back 85 years, and this special model is designed to celebrate that legacy while packing modern muscle under the hood.

Speaking of muscle — this thing means business. Every Commando 392 comes with the mighty 6.4-liter (392 cubic-inch) HEMI® V8. But Fox Factory takes things several steps further with a Gen6 Whipple 3.0-liter supercharger, pushing output to an estimated 705 horsepower. That’s supercar-level power in a ready-for-anything Wrangler. Mike points out in his video that this Wrangler looks and sounds like it was built for the battlefield — and still ready to drive home afterward.

All that power demands control, and Fox has that covered, too. A JKS suspension upgrade, FOX™ 3.0 Race Series shocks, and a FOX™ ATS adjustable steering stabilizer keep the big Wrangler dialed in on trails or pavement. Paired with 37-inch Nitto tires wrapped around Mopar wheels, the Commando 392 stands taller and tougher than anything you’ll find at your local dealership.

On the outside, the look is unmistakably military-inspired — matte-finished fender flares, color-matched Mopar tube doors, and a tan Bestop® Bimini top give off a tactical vibe. A Magnaflow exhaust delivers the right aggressive tone, and the Commando-specific body graphics really drive home the heritage connection. Inside, vintage-style Katzkin leather keeps the cabin rugged yet premium, a nod to the historical styling Mike highlighted.

Exclusivity is a major part of the story. Only 250 of these machines will be produced. A total of 249 are reserved exclusively for active-duty U.S. service members and veterans. One final unit — the only one civilians can buy — will be auctioned off during Military Appreciation Month, with proceeds going to the United Service Organizations (USO). That means owning one isn’t just about having an incredible Jeep — it directly supports those who defend our freedom.

With a starting price of $69,995, the Wrangler Commando 392 delivers serious performance, a proud history, and a deeper purpose behind its limited availability. Mike’s coverage has given fans a firsthand look at what makes this off-road warrior so special — a modern salute to the brave men and women who have relied on Jeep vehicles since World War II.

Just got back from a couple of weeks in Italy and few would be surprised I was doing much cars observations between doing the sites. My biggest impression is how the small and mini sized cars totally dominate the market, in particular those Jeep Renegades are everywhere and the decision by Jeep and Alfa Romeo to introduce even smaller SUVs makes perfect sense in a global market. The compact Ram Rampage would do well in this market and I bet it goes to Europe ensuring a strong manufacturing incentive in Mexico for export models.
Based on my short look, in Italy anyway, folks like Jeeps so why not Rams?
