Jeep® Wagoneer COV Expands Into VIP Protection for 2026

Law Enforcement-Ready Wagoneer Now Preps for VIP Transport Duty

The 2025 Jeep® Wagoneer Command Operations Vehicle (COV) has already made a name for itself within the law enforcement community, and now, Stellantis is expanding its reach. While the COV has been available to federal, state, and local law enforcement since early 2025, it will now become available for VIP protection and secure transport applications starting in 2026.

Developed with direct input from government agencies, the Jeep Wagoneer COV has seen strong demand since its debut. Most recently, it was showcased at the Stellantis Fleet Day event held at M1 Concourse in Pontiac, Michigan, where more than 200 fleet customers experienced the vehicle on track, along with hands-on demonstrations of its advanced technology and capability.

“From Washington, D.C., motorcades to high-profile logistic requirements in every state and county across America, the Jeep Wagoneer COV is set to become a new leader in secure VIP transportation,” said Ryan Austin, Stellantis Law Enforcement Program Manager. “The Jeep brand’s reputation of rugged refinement sets the stage to make it the standard-bearer for our law enforcement and VIP protection program for years to come.”

The vehicle accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in just 6.3 seconds, blending utility and power.

Inside and out, the COV is loaded with tech. Over 130 standard safety and security features include adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning, pedestrian detection, drowsy driver alerts, night vision with a 10-inch head-up display, and a full 360-degree camera system. It’s built to protect and respond in high-pressure situations.

Lately I've been thinking about picking up a used 2022 or 2023 Wagoneer. Then I started reading through the Wagoneer forum and my jaw dropped. Holy cow, what a train wreck. The list of problems owners are seeing with those things would take a ream of paper to write down. I guess I'll pass.
