Jeep® Unleashes the 2025 Gladiator High Top Honcho at EJS

Built for Moab, Born to Conquer...

Every year, Jeep® heads to Moab, Utah, for the Easter Jeep® Safari (EJS) to test ideas, push limits, and show fans what’s possible when they let their engineers off the leash. For the 59th annual EJS, Jeep showed up swinging with seven wild concept vehicles—but one that really stands out is the 2025 Jeep Gladiator High Top Honcho Concept.

This beast is part throwback, part trail dominator, and all Jeep attitude. While the vintage-inspired graphics give a nod to the classic Honcho trucks of the past, there’s nothing retro about what’s underneath. Jeep didn’t just tweak the Gladiator—they transformed it into an off-road monster ready to chew up red rock and spit out dust.

It’s riding on massive 40-inch BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO3s, which pretty much require serious upgrades just to turn. That’s why Jeep added Dana 60 axles front and rear, each fitted with 5.38:1 gearing. That setup makes sure this truck can crawl over anything, from boulders to deep sand, without breaking a sweat.

To handle those monster tires and keep things streetable, the Gladiator High Top Honcho is fitted with a 4-inch AccuAir adjustable air suspension system. That gives the truck flexibility—drop it down to load up, or lift it up to clear rocks the size of small cars.

Custom steel fender flares give room for all that rubber, and a modified front bumper from American Expedition Vehicles (AEV) keeps things clean and functional. A Warn winch is tucked in, just in case recovery becomes necessary, though we doubt it’ll need it.

Jeep also made the truck more usable with rock-rail power steps, which fold down automatically to make getting in a whole lot easier—because let’s be real, climbing into this thing without them would require a ladder. Out back, there’s a bed-mounted storage system, a roll bar, and a color-matched hard top that ties the whole build together.

The High Top Honcho concept isn’t just about looks—every part of it serves a purpose. Jeep built this rig to show what a Gladiator can become when it’s fully kitted out for extreme overlanding and rock-crawling.

With this concept, Jeep is giving a strong hint of what might be possible down the road for production models—or what hardcore Gladiator fans might want to build themselves. Either way, the High Top Honcho just raised the bar.

I like it. A lot. Reminds me of the stuff running around when I was a young boy.
