Jeep® Showcases Grand Cherokee 4xe Lineup In Southern Spain!

Jeep® recently showcased its full 4xe lineup, including the Wrangler, Renegade, and Compass, as well as introduced the all-new Grand Cherokee at Cortijo Curiel, a picturesque location near Malaga, Spain. This setting perfectly embodies Jeep’s freedom, adventure, and fun driving values. The press conference took place at the environmentally conscious Higueron Hotel, which offers electric car charging infrastructure, aligning with Jeep’s commitment to sustainability.

Eric Laforge, Head of Jeep® Brand in Europe, highlighted that 4xe technology enhances Jeep’s DNA and off-road capability, providing impressive torque, acceleration, and silent electric driving. The Grand Cherokee, available only as a plug-in hybrid (PHEV), represents the fifth generation of the iconic SUV. It combines advanced technology, off-road capability, fuel efficiency, and eco-friendliness, marking an important step toward Jeep’s electric roadmap.

The all-new Grand Cherokee boasts outstanding eco-friendly powertrain performance, with up to 51 km of city electric range and a combined driving range of 700 km. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 6.3 seconds while prioritizing sustainability. The Trailhawk 4xe variant is the most capable Grand Cherokee ever, conquering the challenging Rubicon Trail in full-electric mode. It features a class-exclusive sway bar disconnect for improved traction on rough terrain.

The Grand Cherokee’s technology offerings include the Uconnect™ 5 system with a segment-first front passenger screen, a high-definition rear-seat entertainment system, and Active Driving Assist. The interior provides enhanced comfort and versatility, with ample space and the ability to accommodate a set of golf clubs in the cargo hold. The SUV’s innovative features encompass a new architecture, exterior design, independent suspensions, and class-exclusive Quadra-Lift air suspension with electronic semi-active damping.

Craftsmanship and luxury shine through the range, especially with the Summit Reserve trim featuring Palermo leather interiors, real wood accents, and a premium 950-watt, 19-speaker McIntosh audio system. Safety is paramount with over 110 advanced safety and security features, including Active Driving Assist, 360-degree surround view cameras, and Night Vision.

The Grand Cherokee 4xe’s hybrid powertrain combines a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, two high-voltage electric motors, and a TorqueFlite 8-speed automatic transmission, delivering a total output of 375 horsepower and 637 Nm (470 lb.-ft.) of torque. Its 400-volt lithium-ion battery pack provides up to 48 km (30 miles) of all-electric range, extendable to 51 km (32 miles) in city driving, with a total range of 700 km (435 miles).

Jeep offers various driving modes for the hybrid powertrain, allowing customization based on the trip’s requirements. Modes include Hybrid, Electric, eSave, and regenerative braking, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency. The Grand Cherokee 4xe retains Jeep’s legendary 4×4 capability, equipped with Quadra-Trac II and Quadra-Drive II systems and the class-exclusive Quadra-Lift air suspension.

The Grand Cherokee’s exterior design features a modern appearance with a larger seven-slot grille, premium LED lighting, and a sleek roofline without sacrificing cargo space. Inside, the cabin offers handcrafted materials, increased rear-seat legroom, and improved visibility. The Uconnect™ 5 system, featuring three digital displays and co-pilot assistance through the 10.25-inch front passenger screen, enhances the driving experience. A new McIntosh audio system provides exceptional sound quality.
