The readers of the renowned German 4×4 specialist magazine OFF ROAD, chose their favorite off-road vehicles, pickups, and SUVs for the 2022 model year. There were 167 models represented in 11 different categories at the OFF ROAD awards. Three models from the Jeep® brand achieved top rankings in their categories.
With 8.7%, the participating OFF ROAD readers voted the 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe plug-in hybrid (PHEV) first in the highly competitive “Large SUV” category. At the 2021 OFF ROAD awards, the Grand Cherokee took second place among the “newcomers” a year before its market launch.
The iconic 2022 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited 4xe, took second place in the “Off-Road Vehicle” category with 18.2% of the vote. The Wrangler lost out to the Mercedes-Benz G-Class, which obtained 21.7% of the vote.
When it came to “Pickups”, the Jeep Gladiator finished third overall with 16.9% of the vote, just 1% behind the second-place finisher, the Toyota Hilux. The Ford Ranger won the category with 21.7%.
