Last week, we talked about how the Multifunction Tailgate would be available on models without the RamBox. While Ram Trucks has announced that the Multifunction Tailgate will be available across all seven 2019 Ram 1500 models in the United States. Now, Ram Canada has released details on its Ram 1500 lineup for the Multifunction Tailgate.
Ram’s Multifunction Tailgate has four configurations: open flat, open the left door only, open the right door only and open both doors. Each door swings open 88-degrees and access can be further enhanced via a retractable center-mounted step option.
For the Canadian market, the Multifunction Tailgate will be offered on the following models…
- Sport
- Rebel
- Laramie
- Laramie Longhorn
- Limited
When applied to the Sport, Rebel, and Laramie models, you must apply the Spray-In Bedliner option in order to the new tailgate. The cost of the Multifunction Tailgate will set Canadian customers back $1,095 CAD. That does not include the $550 on Sport and Rebel ($750 on Laramie) for the Spray-In Bedliner.
