The Mopar brand is releasing seven custom concept vehicles for this year’s Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) show. The fleet of custom vehicles and hundreds of performance parts and accessories for the Dodge, Jeep®, and Ram Truck brands, will be on display inside Mopar’s dedicated exhibit inside the Las Vegas Convention Center starting November 2nd to the 5th.
The first vehicle we will be discussing is the Jeep® Wrangler 4xe Concept.
The Jeep Wrangler 4xe Concept showcases how a passionate off-roader could build upon their plug-in hybrid (PHEV) Wrangler with factory-backed parts and accessories from Jeep Performance Parts (JPP).
Suspension & Traction –
Starting with the industry-first JPP 2-inch lift kit with FOX shocks that are specifically tuned for the new Wrangler 4xe, the Wrangler 4xe Concept rides on JPP Beadlock-capable wheels with functional Beadlock rings, mounted to a set of 37-inch BFGoodrich Mud-Terrain KM3 tires. Custom underbody rock lights mounted to all four corners of the vehicle help to illuminate the ground so the driver can see and avoid damage from big rocks and debris.
Exterior Features –
The Wrangler 4xe Concept features a number of custom goodies to help amp up the electrified 4×4’s presence on the trail. Like a new JPP stamped steel front bumper features a custom single-hoop winch protection with an attached LED light, located just above a Warn winch.
The new JPP Gorilla Glass windshield offers up to three times the strength of the standard Wrangler windshield and helps keep the glass from cracks or chips while off-roading. A pair of JPP 5-inch, off-road LED lights were mounted to the base of each A-pillar. Both LED lights use a conceptual A-pillar bracket that allows the driver’s side light to fit around the plug-in charging port door on the fender and ultimately solving a problem with the current set of lights being mounted to customers 4xe vehicles.
The vehicle’s premium Ivory Pearl tri-coat exterior color was added to the JPP tube doors, while JPP rock rails and all of the vehicle’s original-production black accents have been painted a distinctive, Dark Neutral Metallic Grey both outside and inside the vehicle. There have also been custom fender and hood graphics added to give the vehicle a more aggressive, yet premium exterior appearance.
At the rear of the vehicle, a JPP Swing Gate Hinge Reinforcement allows a full-size spare wheel and tire to be mounted on the swing gate, while a JPP Center High-Mount Stop Lamp (CHMSL) Relocation Kit provides a third brake light in the center of the spare tire.
Interior –
Inside the Wrangler 4xe Concept, a set of striking Mopar Blue Katzkin leather seats featuring Tungsten stitching distinguishes the custom interior that also includes a conceptual three-piece JPP vinyl floor. The new conceptual floor features four drain plugs for easy cleaning.
For the technology-savvy owner, a custom JPP instrument panel (I/P) accessory rail system securely holds mobile devices (cellphones, GoPros, action cameras, and the alike) in place. There is also a set of stainless-steel JPP pedal covers featuring black rubber pads, helping to add traction to the gas and brake pedals. A set of JPP door-grab handles also helps to provide easy entry and exit from the vehicle too.
Lastly, inside the tailgate area is a custom trail-rail management system that features multi-position cargo loops to safely secure and carries gear while a JPP swing-gate flip-down table adds a useful flat surface. A custom onboard compressor is also integrated into the tailgate for any air inflation needs.
