First Look: 2019 Dodge Challenger R/T

The Standard HEMI Models Get Upgraded Looks And Features:

For the 2019 model year, the Dodge Challenger R/T gets a lot of new standard features. The Challenger R/T is still powered by the 5.7-liter HEMI V-8, rated at 372 horsepower and 400 lb.-ft. of torque and mated to the TorqueFlite eight-speed automatic transmission and rated at 375 horsepower and 410- lb.-ft. of torque and mated to the six-speed manual transmission.

The Challenger R/T models extend their performance capabilities with standard Super Track Pak features, including performance suspension, enhanced steering, 20-inch Granite Crystal painted wheels, steering wheel mounted paddle shifters (on automatic transmission models), performance hood and front splitter (the same hood and splitter found on last year’s 2018 Dodge Challenger R/T Scat Pack models) and performance bolstered Houndstooth cloth seats.

The Performance Handling Group on the Challenger R/T adds upgraded springs, sway bars, Bilstein shocks, bushings and mounts, helping to improve performance and response during spirited driving. For the driver looking to get even more out of the Challenger R/T model, the new Performance Plus Package adds track ready 20 x 9.5-inch forged wheels riding on 275/40ZR20 Pirelli P-Zero tires, limited-slip differential and enhanced handling balance for improved cornering performance.

Ordering has begun for the 2019 Dodge Challenger R/T. Pricing for the 2019 Dodge Challenger R/T starts at $34,100US. The cars should be arriving in showrooms in this fall.
