How To Reset The Aero Deflectors On Your 2024+ Dodge Charger Daytona

MoparTechJordan Walks Us Through A Quick Fix For This Cool EV Feature

If you’ve got a 2024 or 2025 Dodge Charger Daytona and noticed something a little off near the front wheels — maybe a small flap hanging down or sticking out — you’re not alone. Those are the new active aerodynamic air deflectors, and they’re designed to move.

In his latest video, certified Mopar technician Jordan Rose (@MoparTechJordan) from Hall Chrysler Dodge Jeep® Ram in Virginia Beach, Virginia, breaks down how to reset them. It’s a quick fix, but super useful if your deflectors look out of place.

These aero deflectors are part of Dodge’s push for better efficiency and performance. They’re located right in front of the front tires and are built to fold back or tuck under the bumper in certain driving situations. If you’re going up a steep ramp, backing up and catching something, or even pulling into a driveway, they might move on their own. This is intentional — they’re designed to flex, not break.

Jordan shows how to check if one (or both) of them got stuck and walks us through the reset process. No fancy tools needed — just a trained eye and a few simple steps. The goal is to get them back into their normal, “neutral” position.

He also explains what these deflectors actually do. In short, they help with aerodynamics and can improve range by reducing drag, especially at highway speeds. When they’re not in the right spot, it can affect airflow and even make the car look a little off.

As always, Jordan reminds viewers not to mess with any high-voltage parts of the Charger Daytona. It’s an EV, and safety comes first. If you’re not sure what you’re doing, always reach out to a qualified technician or your local dealer.

Jordan’s videos give a great behind-the-scenes look at what real Mopar techs are dealing with day to day — not just with the new Dodge Charger Daytona, but also with other EVs like the Jeep® Wagoneer S.

So if your Daytona’s aero deflectors look out of place, check out Jordan’s video. It might save you a trip to the service bay.
